ABOUT THE ROLE This position will be responsible for managing and leading a large electrical project that consists of 100+ employees. This person will work in conjunction with the on-site Electrical Project Manager and assigned supporting Senior Superintendent.

Essential Functions
* Create a consistent Vision & Message to the project management teams
* Unify and create consistent building methods and standards for the COC project teams working with the Sr Procurement Superintendent
* Assist in tracking COC's Workforce
* Assist project teams with labor schedules, project projections and maintain consistent means and methods (The Sturgeon Way) (8Productivity Drivers)
* Be active with COC's training manager in identifying new candidates for FLT classes and other required training
* Be active with COC's Safety Team in identifying new candidates, tracking and continuous training for safety professionals
* Lead On-Site Field Meetings
* Weekly Project Coordination meetings
* Coordination / BIM team meetings / Turn over meetings - as needed
* General Contractor meetings to support the Sturgeon Team
* Assist in setting expectations for on-site Sturgeon Field Leadership (as designated by the Director of Field Operations)
* Educate teams on what resources are available to them from within the region.
* Hold focused meetings with senior superintendent.
* Assist in setting expectations for Workforce Superintendents (as designated by the Director of Field Operations)
* Educate teams on what resources are available to them from within the region

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years of progressively-responsible experience in adult learning, training, process improvement, and/or procurement roles including leadership roles
* Minimum 5 years of experience in senor level field management roles within the electrical construction industry, proven experience in managing projects greater than $15M, and a workforce of 100 employees
* Prior experience working within the utilities and/or electrical construction industry
* Strong financial knowledge within the electrical industry
* High school diploma or GED
* Documented education and/or training in Construction Management, Training & Development, Quality Assurance, Business Administration or comparable discipline; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
* Certification from accredited electrical trade school institution
* Colorado Journeyman Electrical License

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: 125,000 - $145,000/annually. Commensurate with experience, paid weekly.

Review project schedules with Superintendents/Foreman. Ensure that critical activities and decisions remain on task and that Required On Job (ROJ) dates are provided to the project management team.
Document project field issues that impact budget, quality or schedule, and provide to the project management team.
Respond to subcontractor requests for field issues that impact budget, quality or schedule.
Provide oversight for the Superintendent/Foreman for the development and maintenance of a Resource Allocation Control System (RACS).
Provide guidance in implementation of the Project Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.
Identify projects with Self-Perform opportunities and assist in the development of the Self-Perform proposal.
Manage Self-Perform performance.
Work in concert with Business Unit Safety Director to implement the BU Safety Program.
Manage Review of Capabilities, Accomplishments and Progress (ReCAP) progress for field trades people.
Maintain a progression/succession plan for all high-potential tradesmen in conjunction with the Operations Manager (OM).
Manage training for tradesmen.
Support Business Development, Estimating and the Project Executives (PX's) with development of operational plans for all pursuits.
Support the Project Executive, Project Superintendent and Project Manager to support development of logistics plans and schedules during pre-construction and early project activities.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of ten years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Proven written and verbal communications abilities; proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite, SAP, SharePoint, etc. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to travel 50%+ of the time.

Essential duties and responsibilities
Responsible for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes.
Schedule all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path (with project team) to ensure timely completion.
Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed in accordance with plans and specifications.
Establish and enforce job site quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction.
Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
Communicate with project team regarding ASI's, RFI's, and material submittals.
Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards and take appropriate steps to correct non-compliance.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite using companies project software.
Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
Walk all areas on project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning.
Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
Issue notices of non-compliance to subcontractors regarding quality of work or scheduling.
Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Prepare daily reports to maintain accurate project documentation.
Arrange for labor, tools, equipment, and other supplies needed to perform General Conditions work or other items as determined by project team.
Prepare timesheets for all labor, if applicable, and other on-site staff.
Manage workforce efficiently to render jobsite safe and clean, and to assure all areas are ready for trades to perform their work as scheduled.
Review construction drawings to understand design intent, identify potential conflicts, and provide suggestions for improvement where possible.
Perform quality inspections in accordance with company quality control systems; participate and guide project quality control from kick-off until final turnover of the project.
Monitor safety compliance on jobsite.
Perform other duties as assigned by management, including but not limited to participating in preplanning for future jobs, conducting evaluations of trade performance, completing project close-out reports, and overseeing completion of post-occupancy repair work.
Qualifications
DOB NYC Licensed Superintendent required.
6-10 years of Project Superintendent experience, required.
Thorough knowledge of construction trades and respective union, nonunion and prevailing wage requirements.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as site safety plans, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to safely navigate a construction site which will include the following: climbing ladders and stairs, use of job hoists, inclement weather conditions, hazardous/cluttered and dark areas.
Excellent communication abilities, both oral and written, plus active listener.

Strong planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation and contingencies.

The Superintendent works closely with Senior Superintendents, Project Managers, and Field/Office teams to ensure each project is delivered on time and on budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Site Management
Coordinate and oversee all on-site construction activities
Ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
Take detailed daily notes and log them in Buildertrend
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant jobsite environment
Project Execution
Review and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturers' data
Maintain and update 3-week lookahead and master schedules
Prepare work plans and develop temporary facilities
Generate and track RFIs (Requests for Information)
Review submittals for compliance with plans, codes, and manufacturer specs
Subcontractor Oversight
Manage and supervise all subcontractors and laborers on-site
Conduct on-site project meetings with owners, subs, and trade leads
Monitor subcontractor performance and coordinate trade sequencing
Enforce quality control and safety standards
Documentation & Reporting
Create and upload daily logs with photo documentation
Prepare and distribute weekly progress reports, including:
Completed work (with supporting photos)
Upcoming work forecast
Enter and manage data in Buildertrend (or equivalent software)
Review and approve subcontractor invoices against verified progress
Team Leadership
Mentor and train field personnel
Conduct performance evaluations
Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and accountability
Remote Coordination
Manage a Remote Construction Coordinator to:
Organize project documentation, logs, quotes, submittals, and change orders
Handle all administrative paperwork
Track inspections and maintain shared databases
Collaboration & Business Development
Work with internal teams to forecast labor, equipment, and budgets
Maintain strong relationships with owners, vendors, and suppliers
Provide feedback for continuous improvement of company systems
Optionally support preconstruction efforts, including bidding and proposals
QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years of construction experience (with 3+ in luxury high-end residential)
5+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent (preferred)
Proficient in Buildertrend, Microsoft Office, and MS Project
Current California Driver's License and insurable driving record
