QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum age of 15 Certifications: Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration Current YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent Complete all required Redwoods trainings by their completion deadlines Child Abuse Prevention supports the YMCAs commitment to child abuse prevention by: Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor Completing all child abuse prevention training as required Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
