Level I and Level II Construction Laborers are responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor onsite for environmental and earthwork construction projects Will work closely and provide day to day support to a team of heavy equipment operators, site safety, Foreman and Superintendent, and project management to ensure construction work is completed on time, on budget and safely. In This Role, You Will:Dig trenches, backfill excavations, compact earth to grade specifications using shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes to support the RECON team of equipment operators onsite Clean, remove and prepare materials used on site to eliminate possible hazards and mitigate risk Control traffic passing near, in and around work zones; signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment and materials Measure, mark and record openings and distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed Observe and comply with all company and specific site safety procedures and project policies, and maintain the construction site in strict accordance with OSHA guidelines Communicate onsite by all means possible (visible or radio contact), including interpreting hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed or loaded onto equipment Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, including: lifting, positioning and securing materials during installation Responsible for care and custody of tools being used, including daily cleaning and maintenance What We Require:Previous related work experience as a Laborer or Laborer Helper within the construction industry preferred High School diploma or GED 40 hour HAZWOPER, 8 Hour HAZWOPER refresher and/or TWIC preferred Must have the ability to read, write and understand basic math and English to follow instructions safely and respond to directions related to the scope of earthwork performed onsite Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, climb, operate mo
