We are looking for a Nail Technician to provide nail care treatments to our customers based on their needs and preferences.

Nail Technician responsibilities include polishing fingernails and toenails, painting designs, and applying gel and acrylic nails. If you're up-to-date with nail art techniques and know-how to provide excellent customer service, we'd like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will help us boost our reputation by offering personalized services to our clients.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Nail Technician, Manicurist, or similar role
• Expertise in basic and advanced nail techniques, including french manicures, airbrushing, and gel manicures
• Knowledge of cosmetology trends
• Understanding of sanitation and sterilization standards
• Experience in customer service
• High school diploma
• Certification in Cosmetology or Nail Art is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs professional nail care treatments within the scope of practice and licensing
• Knowledge and proficiency in gel and nail dip techniques
• Deliver excellent customer service to develop client relationships and retention
• Prepare nail equipment, stock supplies and complete all tasks necessary for opening and closing shifts
• Maintain an impeccably clean and sterile work environment
• Ensures standards for infection control is are met in accordance with local, state and federal OSHA guidelines
• Cleans and sterilizes equipment/instruments and disposes of contaminated supplies according to OSHA guidelines
• Assist in ordering and stocking supplies
• Attend all staff meetings and promotional events
• Maintain continuing education requirements
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
• Supporting the safety of all members, guests and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Nail technician for 2+ years
• Valid Virginia State licensure
• Participation in advanced training and continuing education requirements
• Follows state regulations: cleanliness and sanitation protocols

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
:

• Provide a variety of individualized nail services and treatments, including hand and foot massage, manicure, pedicure, nail care and polish application

• Maintain up to date knowledge of nail care, maintenance and product

• Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful and professional attitude with all guests and team member

• Communicate and describe salon offerings, including pricing, and their benefit

• Recommend and up-sell services and products that fit the guests' need

• Demonstrate respect, sensitivity and concern for guests' needs in a professional manner

• Responsible for ensuring work area is clean and ready for each client prior to their arrival, and for proper sanitation and restocking after each use according to departmental policy

• Maintain clean, organized work area whit adequate supplies and attractively displayed retail product

• Perform other duties as assigned


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


Prior customer service experience. Prior nail treatment experience. Must hold license from New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling.
