This position provides a wide variety of cleaning services and other related duties required to keep the facilities in a clean and orderly condition. The NMS Shareholder Apprentice Program is designed to provide motivated Shareholder candidates the unique opportunity to receive on-the-job training within the Anchorage-based camp services division for a period of 24 months, and upon successful completion of the program will be prepared to step into regular full-time employment as a fully qualified operations manager. This position will provide field or regional oversight, coordination, and supervision of personnel involved in providing food, cleaning and maintenance services to clients on multiple contracts. This position will be responsible for providing management support as described in the essential duties and responsibilities. The apprentice will learn how to perform all of the essential duties of the Operations Manager, listed below, and any other duties as assigned. This is an in-office position. The Unarmed Security Officer provides security related services for a variety of large and small business clients where health, safety, and security is our #1 priority. Responsibilities * Clean, sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize and/or restock hallways, stairways, offices, food preparation or break areas, offsite areas, restrooms, public areas, or other work areas as assigned. * Dust both low and high areas and wipe down or cleans various surfaces. * Remove and transport trash to appropriate disposal areas. * Use appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks. * Maintain a clean and orderly cart and storage areas. * May assist in laundry and/or linen removal. * Replenish guest supplies and amenities as required. * May scrub, strip, extract, wax and buff all types of floors using appropriate equipment. * May change light bulbs and perform light facility maintenance. * Has ability to recognize and use proper PPE for the job task. * Adhere to all safety policies, requirements, and training. * Report any material discrepancies, damage and/or theft to the manager or maintenance department. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success may also be assigned. The Security Officer provides services for a variety of large and small business clients where health, safety, and security is our #1 priority. This is a public environment at the Anchorage Museum and surrounding areas with the corresponding levels of traffic (employees, visitors, customers, etc.). Responsibilities * Personally monitors either visually, electronically or audibly a variety of assigned areas, or grounds by working in a variety of assignments including but not limited to roving inside the facilities, roving in a vehicle, other locations deemed appropriate. * Ensures own actions and those of others observe maximum level of safety and compliance. * Will verbally de-escalate situations to ensure the safety of fellow employees, customers, and clients. * Examines doors, windows, and other areas of the store to determine they are secure. * Reports and records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, etc. in accordance with company policies and procedures. * Assists in setting up for events, moving furniture and displays and preparing Museum for various functions. * Warns violators of rule infractions and may apprehend or expel violators. * Notifies on site individuals of visitors wishing to see them. * Assists in properly responding to a variety of emergencies or disasters in order to preserve life and property, including but not limited to fire safety, active shooter protocol * May perform routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs. * May issue and record ID badges. * May check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems to make sure they are operational. * May also be combined with other position duties. * Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met. * This position has no supervisory responsibilities. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned. The Lead Cook position is responsible for the preparation, production, and presentation of a variety of foods, completion of production sheets and with other associated food service activities. Responsibilities * Performs all main line food production duties with specific items determined by assigned shift. * Reviews the needs of the day with assigned supervisor(s), completes production sheets, reviews maintenance reports, and verifies supply needs and availability. * Assists assigned supervisors with menu and recipe development. * Is responsible for quantity and quality control in food production as well as overall sanitation of assigned areas. * May assist in the supervision and training of food service personnel. * Arranges for kitchen helpers/assistants to complete smaller item preparation. * Verifies and oversees food serving lines, areas, bars, etc., making sure they are properly stocked, set up, and cleaned. * Using a working knowledge of all general food service area positions, this position "fills in" for any one of these positions at a moment's notice. * Observes and instructs others on the proper rotation procedures to be followed for produce and dairy products. * Maintains food production equipment and storage areas following proper sanitation, safety, and operational procedures. * May assist other food service personnel at any given time. * This position has no supervisory responsibilities. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.
