Akima Data Management (ADM) is looking for a Systems Administration VI to work in Albuquerque, New Mexico. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! is contingent upon contract award. **Responsibilities** + Administers, develops, runs tests, implements, and maintains operating system and related software.
+ Establishes and implements standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters. Troubleshoots and resolves software, operating system, and networking problems.
+ Schedules, performs, and monitors system backups and performs data recoveries.
+ Recommends hardware and software upgrades according to growth statistics and disk space forecasts.Provides technical support for system users.
+ Performs work under general supervision.
+ Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
**Qualifications**
+ A minimum of 5 years of related technical and managerial experience in supporting Information Technology environment at the server/data center level.
+ Support would include (but not limited to): backup and recovery of systems, patching of systems, providing Tier II/III support to lower tiers, performance tuning, hardware upgrades, operational configurations, resource optimization, etc.
+ Ability to support Microsoft and Linux Operating systems. Expert knowledge of other Microsoft Products used to manage an enterprise operation.
+ Ability to develop project management documentation.
+ Ability to work without guidance. Ability to manage and initiate projects.
+ Servers as SME for information technology projects.
+ Associate's degree or Certificate from technical training institute.
