The Auditor understands and applies ISO concepts, principles, and requirements. May also conduct audits and provide other assistance in other functional Departments. Plans and completes work independently. Performs independent analysis, determines scope and course of action required, and develops plans to resolve supply related problems. Monitors and ensures timely resolution of problems. Develops procedures, work instructions, and other documents to enhance supply functions. Provides subject matter expertise and advice in all supply related functions. Responsibilities + Applies knowledge in automated information systems (AIS) related to transportation (AT-ACCIS; GFM; ETA; IBS; Power Track, and other systems as required). + Uses DoD Publications, Army Regulations (ARs), Army Pamphlets (DA Pams),Technical Manuals, Performance Work Statement (PWS), and other written publications and directives in the performance of required audits and duties. + Evaluates the implementation and the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) IAW ISO 9001:2000 requirements and standards. Conducts internal audits IAW ISO 9001:2000. Evaluates the Transportation Departments performance based on ISO, statutory, regulatory, PWS (contractual), and QMS requirements. + Develops and updates internal audit checklists to use when conducting internal audits. + Evaluates internal audit findings and results. Prepares and submits audit reports,evaluates responses and assists with follow-up and corrective actions as directed. + Evaluates, investigates, and tracks Government evaluations and findings. Ensures timely response, evaluates responses, and assists with follow-up and corrective actions as directed. + Conducts analysis and reviews problems to determine if problems are human error or systemic. Develops and recommends courses of action to correct problems. + Identifies areas for improvement. Initiates and monitors Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) IAW applicable procedures. + Initiates, monitors, and assists with resolving Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Preventive Action Requests (PARs) as directed IAW applicable procedures. + Conducts process and product measurements and analysis IAW ISO 9001:2000. This may include developing performance measurements and metrics that include charts, graphs, reports, etc. Collects, evaluates, and analyzes data to determine performance trends. Assesses whether the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives are being met. + Provides input, develops and updates presentation slides, and participates in Quality Reviews, Management Reviews, Process Improvement Team (PITs), and other events as directed. + Uses technical writing skills to prepare reports, technical papers, procedures, work instructions, and other documents and correspondence as directed. Assists with the development, update, and review of procedures, work instructions, flow charts, and other documents as directed. + Evaluates customer comments and assists with the resolution of customer complaints. Assesses overall customer satisfaction. + Develops training plans and other related programs to enhance operations. Conducts training when required. + Other duties as assigned. Qualifications + High School graduate or equivalent, Bachelors Degree preferred. Formal civilian or formal military training in transportation operations and management are desirable although on-the-job experience may be considered as a substituted for formal training. May receive guidance from other Government QASAS. + Plans, prepares and inspects outgoing, over-the-road, ammunition shipments to ensure compliance with all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) and Army Regulations. + Reports all violations to Supervisor or QASAS and provides input for ammunition condition report (ACR), as required. + Inspects field returns for damage and serviceability. Inspects and classifies ammunition and containers to determine corrective measures required. + Performs renovation, remarking and re-stenciling, as required. + Segregates irreparable/unserviceable items and prepares for shipment, as directed. + Operates/maintains appropriate Logistics Information System for required tasks. + Performs other administrative tasks and duties as determined by the Supervisor. + Compiles/Prepares reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly, as required). + Performs other duties, as needed to perform as Inspector or Ammunition Handler. **Material & Equipment Directly Used:** + Forklifts (4K, 6K, 10K), other material handling equipment, PC's, printers, fax machine, copier. **Working Environment/Physical Activities:** + Work is generally conducted in an out-of-doors environment with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. + Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs.; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents. + Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas. Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules. **Freedom To Act:** + Reports to the ASP Supervisor and functions independently under his/her direction. **Qualifications** + Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Formal training in ammunition handling is required as outlined in AMC-R-350-4 table C-1 through C-4. Training such as 89B (Ammunition Specialist) or 89A (Ammunition Stock Control and Accounting Specialist) is highly preferred. Training in ammunition breakdown, distribution and accountability. Special Technical Training in Ammunition such as that conducted by the Defense Ammunition Center, Savanna, IL is also preferred although, equivalent practical experience gained through recent, extensive, day-to-day handling of ammunition may be acceptable in lieu of formal training. + Experience: Recommended four years' experience in receipt, issue, storage, shipment, and accountability of ammunition. Mandatory training is required as outlined in AMC-R-350-4 table C-1 through C-4. Must display an in-depth understanding of prescribed safety and security procedures relating to ammunition and explosives in accordance with DA PAM 385-64 and AR 190-11. + Must possess and continuously maintain a current State of Colorado Driver's License prior to starting or by 30 days after employment. + Security Clearance: Must be US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) to obtain a CAC and SECRET Clearance.
