**Responsibilities**
+ Perform testing, maintenance, and repairs of tower sites using appropriate test equipment.
+ Install and maintain LMR antennas, microwave dishes/systems, mounts, cable ladders, fiber, coax, Ethernet, and other supporting devices on towers and shelters.
+ Analyze tower sites, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
+ Perform routine and special circumstance tower maintenance as instructed by the local CBP Supervisor.
+ Assist in new tower construction, modification, and decommissioning.
+ Operate articulating man lifts and work at heights up to 600 feet.
+ Collaborate with Field Support tower technicians to complete installations and maintenance safely and effectively.
+ Ensure Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) and pre-climb checklists are documented and followed according to ITTD's Technical Representative.
+ LMR Duties (not limited to):
+ Identify tactical communication requirements and prepare design and development documents for wired and wireless tactical communication system installations.
+ Conduct site surveys, analyze results, and report findings.
+ Develop test and evaluation procedures for the TACCOM Lab with TACCOM and OIT engineers.
+ Prepare site-specific technical documentation: Cabling Requirements, Design Drawings, ROM Estimates, and BOMs.
+ Perform layout, installation, integration, testing, programming, and troubleshooting for tower fixed networks and facilities LMR equipment.
+ Support government business managers with price research, IGCE development, and Statements of Work (SOW) as requested.
+ Assist with equipment inventory management and shipping coordination.
+ Make system modifications to adapt electronic and communication operations for specific projects or locations.
+ Manage TACCOM LMR Lab schedules and provide QA/QC for lab testing documentation.
+ Act as lead technical writer and coordinate communications on lab activities across the enterprise.
+ Other tasks as assigned by the COR, including RF site visits and equipment staging support.
**Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Minimum 3 years of experience as a field service specialist and tower climber performing tower maintenance and antenna/equipment installation.
+ Experience climbing towers ≥200 ft (minimum 5 climbs) and capable of climbing up to 600 ft.
+ Experience working on P25 infrastructure equipment (required). Experience with similar LMR technologies-such as NXDN, DMR, TETRA, Motorola ASTRO 25, Harris P25, or EF Johnson P25-may be considered but may require customer approval or additional training.
+ Experience with microwave backhaul and tower site analysis.
+ OSHA and ANSI/TIA compliant; Comtrain Competent Climber/Rescuer certification or ability to obtain.
+ Ability to work in remote, challenging, or outdoor environments (rooftops, confined spaces, all weather conditions).
+ Must pass DHS Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation.

Job Responsibilities

The successful Service Technician will operate in a wide variety of environments troubleshooting, making repairs, and performing both small and large telecom installations. Our primary customer base consists of Manufacturing, Light Industrial, Commercial and Property Management. You will be expected to be highly knowledgeable of your trade, provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, quality focused, and to operate safely and efficiently in the field with a minimum of immediate supervision.

The Remote Maintenance Technician supports the remote camps and facilities overall operation and maintenance to include all interior and exterior lighting, kitchen and refrigeration equipment, heating and cooling equipment, envirovac toilet units, plumbing and electrical maintenance, fire control equipment, carpentry work and other areas as assigned. All duties are to be performed in accordance with NMS' mission, vision, and values.
_This position will support the Mline Point Camp on the North Slope. This is a 2-week on & 2-week off rotational position. The point of hire origin is Anchorage, AK._
**Responsibilities**
+ Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
+ Performs all assigned preventative maintenance work.
+ Repair equipment and systems associated with remote envirovac stations including water and wastewater pumping, storage and distribution systems.
+ Follows specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment.
+ Uses hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing devices to test, diagnose, and repair equipment. Must be able to dismantle equipment and install working parts.
+ Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patch or replace plaster/plaster board, paint walls, ceilings, and trim.
+ Maintains a log of all work performed, parts needed, or parts used on all work requests.
+ Records utility readings and equipment readings daily and maintain current period readings in maintenance office.
+ Clears clogged drains and repair plumbing fixtures.
+ Assists in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems in all camps and facilities.
+ Perform any carpentry work needed for maintain and repair camps and facilities.
+ Removes ice and snow from sidewalks and entrances to the camps and facilities.
+ Attends daily safety tool box meetings and is required to do job safety evaluations for each job.
+ Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met.
+ This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
+ Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
+ At least five (5) years of directly related camp maintenance experience to include but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and refrigeration repairs.
+ A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.
+ Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to: background check, drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment and hearing test. Applicants not located near a testing facility are responsible for paying for travel to the nearest testing facility.
+ Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
+ Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
+ Must be able to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation.
+ Must be able to live in dormitory style settings and meet cleanliness requirements of the remote camp.
+ Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.

Description of environment: This is a remote camp setting. Employees must constantly be able to stand, walk, climb, push, pull use hands and arms, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employees are occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and may be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
Travel: Must be able to travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps.
