The Impact you'll make:
The HR Engagement and Retention Specialist will work to help establish ABG as the employer of choice by implementing employee engagement strategies; promoting the ABG culture, value and brand; and by creating an exceptional and inclusive employee experience. Under the guidance of the Human Resources Director and working closely with Operations Leadership, Talent Acquisition, and HRBPs, this role will be responsible for helping to develop and maintain programs, policies, and practices focused on retention, onboarding, orientation, and training.

Assist operations management with conducting, tracking, and or evaluating training for associates
Organize virtual and in-person trainings and events to promote employee engagement and help employees feel connected
Support diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives especially as it relates to onboarding and retention
Responsible for tracking employee turnover and focusing on new hire retention at assigned locations
Conduct periodic pulse surveys and quickly aggregate data to help provide leading insights into potential turnover
Collaborate with Operations and HRBPs to look for creative ways to engage, recognize and communicate with the workforce
Partner with Operations, Talent Acquisition, and HRBPs to engage with new hires prior to Day 1 and to help coordinate the hand off of the new hire to the Operations Team
Performs similar or related duties as assigned or requested

Bachelor's degree required - Business, HR majors highly preferred

Diagnose and provide service and repairs for all Aulani land and water features and Show Tech equipment. This position will require experience in plumbing, electrical, pump rooms, computer knowledge, and responding to inquiries and problems in a courteous, efficient and professional manner to achieve the highest guest satisfaction while complying with all Disney policies.
Responsibilities :
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of show tech equipment, games, audio visual, background music equipment, and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on water feature pumps, equipment, and components for all Aulani water features.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
• Have extensive knowledge of electrical controls and relays.
• Have extensive knowledge of pneumatic valves and control devices.
• Be proficient in all show tech and water features maintenance practices and the use of associated technologies.
• Read electrical, mechanical, and plumbing prints/drawings and comprehend design principles.
• Read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, feeders, filtration systems, and pumps throughout the Resort.
• Install and replace filtration system elements, i.e., gaskets, gauges, valves, etc.
• Respond promptly to all guest requests and resolve any maintenance-related issues.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
• Ensure safety for oneself and others.
• Follow all safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Comply with Disney work rules and standards of conduct.
• Respond to emergency conditions, such as fires and power failures.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance in guest rooms, public areas, pools, and select equipment of the resort
• Effectively update and maintain logs.
• Respond to guest calls for maintenance in rooms or public areas.
• May be required to contact and manage vendor/contractor support.
• Install or relocate equipment as necessary.
• Maintain parts and tool inventories.
• Keep all engineering areas orderly and clean.
Basic Qualifications :
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field and hospitality
• Leadership capabilities
• Demonstrated learning and continual development in the craft
• Advanced analytical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Passion for mentoring and leading others through training and feedback
• Ability to work varied shifts and days off
Additional Information :
Full Time - Full availability is required seven (7) days per week, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
The pay rate for this role in Hawaii is $42.15 per hour.
