Live-in Nanny in South Miami #C
The Wellingtonagency
Nanny job in Miami, FL
Placement specialist: Claire Hearn Email: *******************************
Children: 5yo, 3yo, 1yo Schedule: Live-in: 5 days per week; open to candidates who live-in for 5 days while working, and go home for 2 days off
Travel: Summer (1-2 months), Winter (2 weeks), possibly short trips throughout the year (e.g. New York, Skiing, etc)
Passport required
Start date: 1st August 2023
Vaccinations: COVID (first two shots are fine), up to date Tdap, Pneumonia and Flu shot
Pets: 1 medium hypoallergenic dog
Wonderful family of 5 in South Miami are looking for an energetic, organized, loving and kind long-term Nanny to care for their 3 young children.
It is important to note the 2 older children are in school full-day (approximately 8am - 3pm), and the youngest will be starting half days in January 2024.
The ideal candidate for this role is one with a strong background working with infants, toddlers and young elementary ages. You will be looking for your next long-term role, and display longevity in your previous roles. You will work well in a team - with parents and with other staff members. Most importantly, you will love your career; you enjoy being active and creative with the children - including playing with blocks on the floor, swimming and pool games, a game of soccer, doing light homework, baking, painting or riding bicycles etc.
The Nanny will be responsible for all child related duties - diapering and toilet training, keeping bedrooms & play areas tidy, and toys sanitized, bath time, nap time, laundry, planning fun and developmentally appropriate activities and outings, driving the children (in the provided family vehicle), feeding the children, scheduling and planning after school activities, doctor's appointments, and school meetings.
Cooking for the children is required on a basic level (e.g. pasta and chicken), however if you have your own fresh and healthy recipes you like to cook in your role (as time permits) this is absolutely welcomed and preferred.
Both parents have heavy work schedules, and on occasion will travel out of town for work so flexibility for overnight stays (rarely needed) is appreciated.
The family has a lovely live-in Housekeeper and a great weekend Nanny, so excellent communication and teamwork is paramount. This family home operates as a team environment, so everyone pitches in to help each other if needed. For example, the Housekeeper may watch the Baby whilst you are picking the two older children up from school, and you may help with errands (grocery) and other tasks the household requires (sending FedEx documents, dropping dry cleaning, taking the dog to the vet).
A Nanny vehicle is provided for use related to the children and your role.
Compensation:
Based on experience - please submit salary requirements
$5000 per year stipend for health insurance
2 weeks PTO per year (some blackout dates e.g. Christmas, will apply). 1 month notice required for PTO requests.
Holidays - are mostly off, but if worked are paid at 1.5x normal salary
