HN378 - Full-Time Nanny - Hillsborough, CA
British American Household Staffing
Nanny job in California
A kind family in Hillsborough, CA is seeking a full-time professional nanny to add to their team. They have four (4) bright, friendly, and kind boys ages almost 2-years-old through 8-years-old. They have had a full-time nanny for 8 years who is still with them and works during the week, as well as a weekend nanny, but looking to supplement with extra help. The schedule for this role would be 4 days from either Wednesday-Saturday or Sunday through Wednesday, so working 1 weekend day every week. They would be looking for 12-hour days for a total of 48 hours spread over those 4 hours, with the hours being between mornings and evenings (I.E., 7am-7pm, etc.). The family is also open to three (3) 13 hour days and one (1) half day if this is a preferred schedule. The nanny can be live-in or live-out when working, but live-out when not working the other 3 days of the week, so this role would not be fully live-in 7 days a week. Only living in when working if the live-in option is selected. The candidate to hire will have own bedroom and bathroom when living in. Because of the children's school and activities, they really need additional set of hands so this nanny will work alongside the other aforementioned caregivers. They need someone Covid-conscious and up to date on all immunizations/flu shut/Covid vaccines due to one of the parents working in medicine/in hospitals. They really desire someone with high integrity, work ethic, reliable, professional, and has a helpful personality and demeanor, not seeking to do the minimum, but who values pitching in. Due to having 4 young boys, must be active. The busiest time of the day in the household is mornings and afternoons.
There will be early mornings at times; they may need help starting at 5:30/6am and going until 8pm but they understand that the candidate to hire potentially wouldn't do all of those hours but they'll definitely cover either the mornings or the end of the day. The nanny to hire would probably start early but there's the possibility of starting later and finishing later. The candidate to hire must be comfortable with extended hours including quite early mornings.
Responsibilities
Getting the children ready in the morning (dressed, grooming [hair combed, teeth brushed, faces washed, etc.], breakfast, backpacks for school ready to go and filled with what they need for the day, etc.)
Transporting the children to/from school and activities
Playing with and engaging with the children; reading, active play outdoors, imaginative and arts/crafts/games indoors, etc.
Snack and meal prep for the children
Evening routine (showers, bathing, grooming, etc.)
Encouraging the children to clean up after themselves as age-appropriate (putting clothes away, making their bed, putting toys away when done with them)
Rotating through wardrobes/toys as needed and advising when new items are needed
Overseeing developmental milestones (especially for the youngest, I.E., potty-training)
They have a 30 hour/week housekeeper so the job would not entail too many household tasks. However, the nanny would be expected to keep things tidy, occasionally run a load of laundry for the children and meal prep/feed/clean up after the children. A pitch-in attitude is welcome and essential in the household
Ability to travel with the family; this would usually be domestic, though may include Canada and wouldn't exclude international travel on very rare occasions
Qualifications
Team-player mindset
Helpful, not entitled
Kind and honest
Requirements
Driving experience and a clean driving record
Experience with young children (aged 1-8) and multiple children at a time
Covid-conscious and up to date on all immunizations/flu shut/Covid vaccines due to one of the parents working in medicine/in hospitals
Ability to travel with the family; this would usually be domestic, though may include Canada and wouldn't exclude international travel on very rare occasions
Salary and Benefits
The family is open on hourly rate depending on experience and qualifications
$500 monthly healthcare stipend
2 weeks' vacation
5 paid sick days
Some holidays off and paid

Part-time Nanny in Millbrae, CA, for a 3-year-old and a 9-month-old
Jovie
Nanny job in Millbrae, CA
A bit about us:
We are a conscientious, organized, fun family of five, including our family dog (55 lbs). We're looking for a calm and compassionate nanny to join our family and ease our worries about going back to work soon. We love exploring the Bay Area, good food, and going to parks/libraries as a family. We're social, connected to our Filipino culture, and love our families. We both work long hours at demanding jobs and desire extra quality time with our kids after work. Looking for a nanny who doesn't mind taking on more of the household aspects when we are free to play with our kids.
Our three-year-old son is a talkative and inquisitive toddler who loves trains, trucks, and all things that go! He also enjoys music, the library, play-cooking, and helping Mom cook from his toddler tower.
Our 9-month-old daughter wants to be part of the conversation and is full of baby squeals and coos! She is wearing a cranial helmet so we're working on tummy time, though she loves to be held and worn in a carrier. She's the baby who would rather play with any household item than an actual toy!
A bit about you:
You are a proactive, playful, and patient nanny with high emotional intelligence. You observe what needs to be done and take initiative to support families. Organization is something that comes naturally to you. You truly care, and enjoy interacting with children. You're able to set boundaries and follow our parenting/discipline style that encourages good behavior; we do implement time-outs. You'd love to join a family that values your personality and skills. You are flexible to work occasional date nights (with advance notice) and occasional weekends.
Job Duties: Light tidying and organization before school pick-ups and after children are in bed, children's laundry, drive or walk to children's schools for pick-ups, simple/intermediate cooking such as preparing healthy dinners from meal kits, kitchen clean-up after dinner including loading dishwasher and wiping down counter tops and highchair, packing school lunches, feeding our baby/food safety, assisting with feeding our toddler/food safety changing diapers, reading, imaginative play, ensuring safety at all times, tummy time, communicating with parents, encouraging our toddler to do his part and help with chores, and bedtime routines.
Position Highlights:
W-2 Payroll
Guaranteed Hours
Long-term Outlook (At least 1 year!)
Accrued Sick Pay
Optional: Additional Hours Available (Date Nights/Work Events)
Convenient Location for Public Transportation: Near Cal Train and Bart Stop
Minimal Pet Care
Qualifications: 2-3 years of childcare experience with infants and toddlers 9 months-4 years old (this can include sibling care, daycare experience, etc and does not have to be nanny experience per se) must be comfortable around a med-large, 55 lb dog, willing to work when children are ill, able to communicate clearly with parents when you are sick/willing to wear a mask when requested, CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get), must live a reasonable commute time from Millbrae, basic/intermediate cooking ability, able to play/interact with kids without screentime, willing to get fingerprinted for Trustline (paid for by Jovie), organizational skills, if driving for school pick-ups: must have valid Driver's License and clean driving record, and willing to sign NDA if requested.
Set yourself apart: You are composed in the face of chaos, love to cook or clean, and or speak Tagalog or Mandarin. You love reading and would be interested in helping with the beginning stages of literacy, or you can work a full day when our kids are sick and home from school.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (4:30-9p)
*Please note schedule may change in August to Monday-Friday (2:30-9p)
Starting mid/late February 2026!
Pay: $30-$37 an hour

HN376 - ROTA Nanny - Hillsborough, CA
General Application In Manhattan, New York
Nanny job in California
A kind family in Hillsborough, CA is seeking a ROTA nanny to add to their team. They have four (4) bright, friendly, and kind boys ages almost 2-years-old through 8-years-old. They have had a full-time nanny for 8 years who is still with them and works during the week, as well as a weekend nanny, but looking to supplement help with a "24/7" mindset ROTA nanny for 1 week on/1 week off OR 2 weeks on/2 weeks off. The role can be fly in and fly out for the 2 week ROTA role, NOT for the 1 week ROTA role. Because of the children's school and activities, they really need additional set of hands so this nanny will work alongside the other aforementioned caregivers, but really be the "core" 2/47 point person when on duty.
