Part-time Nanny in Millbrae, CA, for a 3-year-old and a 9-month-old
Jovie
Nanny job in Millbrae, CA
A bit about us:
We are a conscientious, organized, fun family of five, including our family dog (55 lbs). We're looking for a calm and compassionate nanny to join our family and ease our worries about going back to work soon. We love exploring the Bay Area, good food, and going to parks/libraries as a family. We're social, connected to our Filipino culture, and love our families. We both work long hours at demanding jobs and desire extra quality time with our kids after work. Looking for a nanny who doesn't mind taking on more of the household aspects when we are free to play with our kids.
Our three-year-old son is a talkative and inquisitive toddler who loves trains, trucks, and all things that go! He also enjoys music, the library, play-cooking, and helping Mom cook from his toddler tower.
Our 9-month-old daughter wants to be part of the conversation and is full of baby squeals and coos! She is wearing a cranial helmet so we're working on tummy time, though she loves to be held and worn in a carrier. She's the baby who would rather play with any household item than an actual toy!
A bit about you:
You are a proactive, playful, and patient nanny with high emotional intelligence. You observe what needs to be done and take initiative to support families. Organization is something that comes naturally to you. You truly care, and enjoy interacting with children. Position Highlights:
W-2 Payroll
Guaranteed Hours
Long-term Outlook (At least 1 year!)
Accrued Sick Pay
Optional: Additional Hours Available (Date Nights/Work Events)
Location (Close to Airport): Easy Access by Bus
Minimal Pet Care
Qualifications: 2-3 years of childcare experience with infants and toddlers 9 months-4 years old (this can include sibling care, daycare experience, etc and does not have to be nanny experience per se) must be comfortable around a med-large, 55 lb dog, willing to work when children are ill, able to communicate clearly with parents when you are sick/willing to wear a mask when requested, CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to get), must live a reasonable commute time from Millbrae, basic/intermediate cooking ability, able to play/interact with kids without screentime, willing to get fingerprinted for Trustline (paid for by Jovie), organizational skills, if driving for school pick-ups: must have valid Driver's License and clean driving record, and willing to sign NDA if requested.
Set yourself apart: You are composed in the face of chaos, love to cook or clean, and or speak Tagalog or Mandarin. You love reading and would be interested in helping with the beginning stages of literacy, or you can work a full day when our kids are sick and home from school.
