Full-Time Nanny - Houma, Louisiana Baby Due: January 2026 Schedule: Full-time, live-in or live-nearby A warm, private family in Houma, Louisiana is seeking a full-time professional nanny to join their household and provide exceptional care for their newborn, expected in January 2026. The ideal candidate will begin December 1, 2025, to settle into the community and household routines before the baby's arrival. This role requires a nurturing, calm, and highly experienced caregiver who is confident with newborn and infant care, understands developmental milestones, and can provide a safe, loving, and supportive environment for both mother and baby. Key Responsibilities Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for the baby Support mother during the postpartum period and assist with newborn routines (feeding, sleeping, bathing, soothing, etc.) Maintain baby's daily schedule and log feedings, naps, and milestones Organize and maintain nursery, baby supplies, and laundry Prepare and sterilize bottles, assist with meal prep for the baby as they grow Coordinate with other household staff while keeping the focus on mother and child Accompany the family on domestic and international travel as needed (after baby is slightly older) Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional nanny or newborn care experience Experience with infants and knowledge of early childhood development CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record U.S. work authorization Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fully staffed household Comfortable around dogs (the family has several, cared for by a private dog nanny) Discreet, respectful, and professional demeanor Compensation & Accommodations Salary: Competitive, based on experience Housing: Private suite with kitchenette and bathroom provided; family will also provide a separate apartment in town for additional privacy Travel expenses covered when traveling with the family Paid time off, holidays, and other benefits negotiable
