  • KP757 - Full-Time Nanny - Princeton, NJ

General Application In Manhattan, New York

    Nanny job in Princeton, NJ

A wonderful family in Princeton, NJ (a returning client of BAHS), with time spent in lower Manhattan (approximately once per month), are seeking a full-time, live-out nanny for their two children, aged 4.5 and 7.5-years. Candidates may also live-in during the week and live-out on weekends, if they prefer. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 7am-7pm (with a break from childcare from 9am-1pm when both children are at school). On days when there is no school, hours will be 8am-6pm Monday through Friday. This is an asap start. Responsibilities Responsibilities will pertain to the care and development of the children, to include; their laundry, meal/snack/packed lunch prep, and daily lunch prep for the 4 year old (who likes fresh cut veggies and fruit, a sandwich, boiled egg whites, etc.), keeping their play areas/bedrooms tidy, and planning play-dates and activities etc. Both children attend school from 7:45am-3pm (7 year old) and 8:25-2:45pm (4 year old). During this time, candidates would be expected to help with meal/snack/lunch box prep, organizing their closets/play areas, prepping dinner at least 3 nights per week, and creating activities for the children to do in the afternoon. Qualifications The family spend 2-months of the year in Europe (usually from mid-end of June to mid-end of August). They spend approximately 3 of these weeks traveling around Europe more generally, and the rest of the time in Sweden. They also travel both domestically and internationally throughout the year (Miami/Caribbean, etc.). Candidates absolutely must be willing to travel with the family, for which they will receive an additional $150 per travel day, on top of any applicable overtime. The family are not proponents of regular screen time, typically only allowing this after dinner and bath time, when they sit down with the children themselves and enjoy some snuggle/TV time. Both parents work (mom works from home/ is in graduate school so her schedule is flexible), though are as hands-on as possible, so candidates should know when to step-up and when to step back and keep busy doing other things while they spend quality time with the children. Requirements US passport, Green Card or EAC Candidates should be professional, warm, and intentional, really getting down on the children's level and engaging them. The family are warm, kind, and informal, but they do appreciate candidates respecting boundaries. Candidates should ideally have a relevant educational background, such as Child Development, Early Childhood Education or other/equivalent specialized experience. The parents do spend time away from the children once per quarter, and the children's grandparents typically stay during those periods (generally no longer than 4 nights), so candidates must be comfortable working collaboratively with extended family. To iterate, comfort with extended family is really important, especially as the family live 10 minutes from their grandparents, who will frequently do school pick ups/drop offs and take the children to activities The family have a small breed dog (12lbs and not likely to grow any more). He is fully potty trained, neutered, and a very sweet boy. They would require the nanny to be comfortable taking the dog on walks a few times per week or once a day and sometimes giving him his prepared meals. Only those candidates who are flu vaccinated are eligible to apply to this role. Candidates MUST drive and have their own vehicle, and be a safe and conscientious driver, as they would be driving to/from school and activities for at least one child (in NJ area - not in the City). Salary and Benefits $40-45+/hr, health insurance reimbursement, monthly metrocard and a 401k option for those candidates who are seeking this.

Paid Vacation: Two weeks paid of the family's choice, one week paid of the nanny's choice, plus all major holidays Responsibilities and Duties WHO/WHAT: Do you secretly love early mornings-the calm before the day begins, coffee at its best, and toddlers at their silliest? Then you've found your people. This growing family of soon-to-be-four can't wait to welcome a nanny who's ready to dive into both the fun and the snuggles. Your days will balance the lively energy of a playful toddler-who loves to run, read, and explore-with the tender rhythms of a newborn's bottles, burps, and milestone moments. These parents appreciate structure (think healthy meals, consistent naps, and minimal TV), and you'll help maintain their rhythm while bringing your own creativity with engaging, age-appropriate activities. When the little ones are resting, you'll keep things humming by tackling child-related household tasks: children's laundry, washing bottles, sweeping/vacuuming, tidying play areas, and starting light dinner prep. With no pets, no deep cleaning, and no parents working from home (except Fridays!), your focus will stay right where it matters most-the kids. This warm, intentional Squirrel Hill family has welcomed their first baby and is searching for a loving, reliable, long-term nanny to become part of their team. Their one-month-old daughter has been soaking up Grandma's love, but now Mom and Dad are ready to bring in a professional caregiver who can help them settle into a steady rhythm as a family. Mom works from home full-time and needs long stretches of focused, uninterrupted work time. Dad is stepping into a CEO role and knows that to show up fully for his daughter at the end of the day, he needs support on the home front. They're realistic, thoughtful parents who understand that the right nanny doesn't just care for a baby - they help a household run smoothly. Your days will center on nurturing, attentive infant care: feeding, cuddling, soothing, naps, and gently guiding early milestones. When the baby sleeps (because newborn naps are sacred), you'll jump in to help with bottle washing, baby and parent laundry, light tidying, vacuuming or sweeping, and simple dinner prep. Their friendly dog also plays a role in daily life. Early mornings matter here - Mom has a 6:30 a.m. gym class she's quite committed to 😉 - so helping maintain her routine is part of the team effort. Flexibility, common sense, and clear communication are far more important than perfection. Grandma will continue to help a couple of days each month - while still guaranteeing your full 40 hours. This family is dreaming big and long-term here. They hope to keep their child out of daycare until at least age 2.5, plan to space future kids a few years apart, and would love to find someone who grows with their family over time. Above all, they're looking for a nanny who is genuinely invested - someone who shows up with heart, humor, and a team-player mindset. The Ideal Nanny IS…warm, nurturing, and deeply dependable. You're someone who shows up on time, keeps your word, and brings calm, loving energy into a home. You're playful and creative with infants, but also grounded, observant, and respectful of routines. You're a natural helper - someone who notices what needs to be done and steps in without being asked. You value teamwork, open communication, and trust. You understand how meaningful your role is in supporting working parents so they can show up as their best selves for their child. You're patient, gentle, kind, and emotionally intuitive. If you're looking for a long-term role in a collaborative household, where your work is truly valued and your presence genuinely matters, this family would love to meet you. Requirements and Benefits Nanny must have a driver's license, vehicle, and a clean driving record Nanny MUST have previous nanny experience for a minimum of 2 years. Paid Vacation If your resume is a fit for our positions, our team will be in touch with you. You will receive our nanny application and be informed of the next steps regarding our process. Once our team determines if you meet our qualifications, we'll email you our nanny application to complete. It should take you no more than fifteen minutes. Once submitted, we'll be in touch with the next steps in our application process!
