Position Summary:
Wellstar Health Systems seeks a board-certified Emergent Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team at our newest hospital in Columbia County. The Emergent Psychiatrist will provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting with acute psychiatric emergencies in our Emergency Department and inpatient units. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, compassionate, and evidence-based psychiatric care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments for patients presenting with psychiatric emergencies.
Develop and implement treatment plans for emergent psychiatric conditions including mood disorders, psychosis, substance intoxication/withdrawal, and suicidal ideation.
Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for patients in the Emergency Department and inpatient settings.
Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with best practices and hospital policies.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case conferences to optimize patient outcomes.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of psychiatric evaluations and treatment plans.
Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements related to psychiatric care.
Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to hospital education programs as needed.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry with additional training or experience in Emergency Psychiatry preferred.
Valid medical license to practice in Georgia or eligibility for licensure.
Demonstrated expertise in managing acute psychiatric emergencies.
Excellent clinical judgment and strong communication skills.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates the ability to adjust technique so that patient receives the lowest possible dose of ionizing radiation and that image quality is maintained.
- Reports problems regarding malfunctioning equipment to supervisor or service provider, so that problem can be corrected in a timely manner.
- Cleans, disinfects and maintains equipment in accordance with infection control policy and department cleaning schedule. Patient Care
- Verifies proper clinician order for procedure.
- Obtains complete clinical history, gathers examination data and assesses for contraindicating conditions.
- Follows established procedures for the administration of contrast medias so that no patient condition deteriorates, and no patient suffers undue pain, due to error or poor technique.
- Ensures that all studies have proper patient identification and right and left marker are utilized appropriately.
- Reviews ultrasound images for clinically acceptable results and releases patients.
- Responds to emergency situations and provides for the restocking of the crash cart and maintenance of life support equipment.
- Assists other technologists in all modalities when needed.
- Observes patient condition and properly evaluates situations when physician intervention is necessary so that no patient condition deteriorates.
- Verifies correct identity of patient using 2 unique identifiers prior to performing a procedure per hospital policy and procedure.
- Ensures patient's privacy and comfort is accommodated. Maintains patient's dignity throughout the exam/procedure.
- Demonstrates competence in the determination and application of appropriate procedures, equipment, supplies and techniques based on the age of patients.

- Ensures that patient's questions, concerns or contraindications are satisfactorily addressed, notifying physician when this cannot be accomplished, prior to the initiation of the procedure.
- Participates in the orientation and training of departmental employees.
- Provides patients with preparatory instruction and explanation of procedures.
- Required documentation is concise, legible and includes precise terminology.
- Reads email each day scheduled to work and follows through with assignment.
- Completes mandatory departmental and Hospital-wide education without prompting. Quality Control
- Consistently produces acceptable images, as evidenced by radiologist feedback and quality audits, with a first time acceptance rate.
- Ensures that equipment is fully operational prior to each use, by checking for proper calibration and operating deficiencies.
- Sends all studies to PACS immediately after completion, prints CD's as needed.
- Studies that have been reported after hours by teleradiography are printed and scanned into PACS, if applicable.
- Completes all studies in RIS before completing in PACS.
- Prints completed log sheet from teleradiography and submits to Radiologist, if applicable
- Performs and maintains quality control logs for probe disinfection and follows infection control policies Operations
- Restocks linens and supplies, and maintains the department in clean and orderly condition.
- Transports patients, positions patients, and helps them on and off procedure table.
- Performs patient charging activities on the day the service is rendered.
- Applies shielding, supportive and immobilization devices and equipment.
- Willingly lends knowledge and assistance to others upon request as needed and routinely as time is available, without prompting, so that all working time is used for departmental advantage.

Job Overview:
The Medical Scribe provides Emergency and Hospitalist Medicine Department clinicians with documentation assistance and follow-up on diagnostics/consults/orders, etc. This assistance is crucial in providing clinicians additional time to directly speak to and consult with patients. This is a great opportunity for entry level healthcare professionals to build on medical knowledge and gain invaluable clinical exposure in working alongside numerous MDs, NPs, and PAs.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma
Completion of science or clinical coursework at the undergraduate level or above required. Work experience in a direct patient care clinical setting may be considered in lieu of science or clinical coursework.
Work, volunteer, or shadowing experience in the healthcare field required. Experience in a direct patient care environment preferred (e.g. medical scribe, patient care technician, medical assistant, EMT). Must be documented on resume.

Scheduling Requirements:
Hiring for both Full Time Day Shifts and Full Time Night Shifts
Day shift start times vary between the hours of 6:00am-6:00pm and the Medical Scribe would be expected to rotate through each scheduled start time in between those hours
Night Shift start times vary between the hours of 7:00pm- 10:00pm and the Medical Scribe would be expected to rotate through each scheduled start time in between those hours
Employee will work 2 blocked weekends (Sat and Sun) per month with the other weekends off
Shifts are 7 days a week
Employee will rotate through all day OR all night shifts
Full Time role with a guaranteed 30 hours per week, but typical shifts will be a total of 36 hours per week
Essential Functions:
Accompany clinicians into patient rooms and transcribe clinician dictations/notes
Actively listen to all conversations pertaining to patient care between the clinician and other healthcare providers, patients, family, etc. and document relevant information into the EMR
Document clinician and patient encounters into EMR
Seek out missing information from clinicians to complete the physician chart
Gather and input pertinent patient information from external sources (e.g. outpatient lab tests, nursing home/EMS records)
Place phone calls to PMD offices, pharmacies, etc. as requested by the clinician
Keep clinicians informed of resulting diagnostics and troubleshoot delays in those results

This is a full-time position offering a flexible schedule ofseven 24-hour shifts per month, providing comprehensive inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care. You will be supported by aCertified Nurse Midwife (CNM)to ensure collaborative, high-quality care for our patients. Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital is slated to open July 2026!
Highlights/Responsibilities:
Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for labor and delivery, triage, obstetric and gynecologic emergencies, and postpartum care.
Full-time physicians enjoy a flexible monthly schedule of seven 24/hour shifts.
Ability to pick up additional shifts. No on-call.
Manage unassigned OB patients and support private-practice physicians as needed.
Perform deliveries, cesarean sections, and other emergent gynecologic surgeries.

The combined strengths of this collaboration will be showcased with the summer 2026 opening of the Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital.
Areas throughout the new hospital will reflect the collaborative spirit between the two organizations. Experts from both Orlando Health and Watson Clinic have been heavily involved in the overall planning of the project, including design of the facility, selection of next-generation technologies, and development of a comprehensive scope of specialized programs and services, with key programs to include cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, obstetrics, surgery and surgical oncology.
This state-of-the-art facility will feature more than 300 inpatient beds, 69 emergency and observation beds, 11 operating rooms, four cardiac and interventional suites, and 18 beds in an intensive care unit that will grow to 36 at full build-out. The hospital will support a wide offering of surgical and procedural services across multiple specialties. A robust cardiovascular program will offer diagnostic cardiology services upon opening, with the addition of PCI care soon after and further progressing to include structural heart disease and advanced electrophysiology (EP) programs. With a strong neurology focus on stroke and spine care, the hospital is expected to advance to a primary stroke center soon after opening with comprehensive stroke center to follow. A full obstetrical unit also will be highlighted on opening day with eight labor and delivery rooms, two designated C-section operating rooms and more than 25 postpartum rooms. A 12-bed neonatal intensive care unit will debut shortly after the hospital opens.

Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital
As an integrated healthcare system, Orlando Health has joined forces with the nationally respected, physician-led practice of Watson Clinic to bring exceptional healthcare to the communities of Polk County and the surrounding region. The combined strengths of this collaboration will be showcased with the summer 2026 opening of the Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital.
Areas throughout the new hospital will reflect the collaborative spirit between the two organizations. Experts from both Orlando Health and Watson Clinic have been heavily involved in the overall planning of the project, including design of the facility, selection of next-generation technologies, and development of a comprehensive scope of specialized programs and services, with key programs to include cardiology, neurology, gastroenterology, obstetrics, surgery and surgical oncology.
This state-of-the-art facility will feature more than 300 inpatient beds, 69 emergency and observation beds, 11 operating rooms, four cardiac and interventional suites, and 18 beds in an intensive care unit that will grow to 36 at full build-out. The hospital will support a wide offering of surgical and procedural services across multiple specialties. A robust cardiovascular program will offer diagnostic cardiology services upon opening, with the addition of PCI care soon after and further progressing to include structural heart disease and advanced electrophysiology (EP) programs. With a strong neurology focus on stroke and spine care, the hospital is expected to advance to a primary stroke center soon after opening with comprehensive stroke center to follow. A full obstetrical unit also will be highlighted on opening day with eight labor and delivery rooms, two designated C-section operating rooms and more than 25 postpartum rooms. A 12-bed neonatal intensive care unit will debut shortly after the hospital opens.

Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) and Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) have an excellent employment opportunity for a full-time OBED Hospitalist in Fresno, California.
The OB/GYN Hospitalist Services will be comprised of two OB/GYN physicians each providing 24-hour in-hospital coverage. This coverage may include 12-hour or 24-hour shifts, depending on scheduling needs. Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned to each physician role. By necessity, to meet the patient coverage needs, some of the duties and responsibilities may overlap on any given shift. It is understood that the two physicians will support and back-up each other as needed. OBGYN Hospitalists supervise Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residents who rotate through the OB/GYN department. Residents have been found to be helpful in supporting the department even as they learn.
Assignment to either the OB 1 (OB ED) role or the OB 2 (OB Hospitalist/GYN) may vary based on scheduling needs during any given scheduling period.
Key Responsibilities (Both Positions)
OB 1 (OB ED)
Primary responsibility is coverage of the OB Emergency Department.
Triage all patients who present to the OB ED, including 'unassigned' and 'assigned' patients.
If an 'assigned' patient requires hospital admission, the patient will be admitted by the assigned provider group.
Continue to provide care and manage 'unassigned' OB patients admitted for labor, other obstetrical indications, or to the antepartum unit through delivery, postpartum, and discharge.
Assist in cesarean sections for the OB 2 provider and other community OB/GYN physicians.
Respond to OB Codes or OB Emergencies throughout the hospital, including the Main ED.
Provide stabilization support while primary OB/GYN is en route.
Provide 'stand-by' services for other OB/GYNs en route for delivery.
Provide back-up coverage for GYN cases if OB 2 is unavailable due to immediate patient care.
OB 2 (OB Hospitalist/GYN)
Primary responsibility is to provide OB Hospitalist services for assigned patients of the SAMP OB/GYN group.
Provide coverage and management for 'unassigned' GYN patients.
Continue care for admitted GYN patients until discharge.
Coordinate with OB 1 physician if a GYN surgical assistant is needed.
If a GYN patient presents to the Main ED or a consult is requested and the patient has an established OB/GYN physician with SAMC privileges, care is provided by the assigned group.
Assist in cesarean sections for OB 1 physician.
Provide back-up to OB 1 provider in the OB ED if needed.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree with board certification (or eligibility) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Active state medical license and hospital privileges.
Advanced training in obstetric emergencies and surgical procedures.
Core Competencies

Surgical proficiency in obstetric and gynecological procedures.

Work Schedule
