As Chief Operating Office of Thrive Global, Steven oversees HR, finance and operations, leveraging his unique experience to help define the next phase of Thrive.

Steven was most recently President, Operations and Strategy at Dataminr, the AI powered event detection and real-time alerting platform. He was responsible for the company’s overall growth, which he achieved by establishing the operational and data driven foundation for commercial success enabling the company to see massive revenue expansion and entry into markets outside of the US.

Prior to Dataminr, Steven managed the Reuters News Agency and Content Solutions Business globally reporting to Reuters CEO. Under his leadership, the business saw three consecutive years of revenue growth achieved through the launch of dozens of innovative products, many of which targeted new opportunities in digital publishing. He also successfully developed and executed a strategy to expand the business to new customer segments while diversifying revenue streams. Steven had also been with Reuters from 2003 to 2006 when he joined as part of the acquisition of Multex.com where he ran global business development for its financial, corporate and consumer divisions. During his first tenure with the company, Steven was Senior Vice President and General Manager of Reuters Consumer Media for North America.

Prior to re-joining Reuters, Steven was Wenner Media’s first Chief Digital Officer overseeing the digital businesses for the company’s brands: Rolling Stone, Us Weekly and Men’s Journal. During his time at Wenner Media, Steven successfully reinvented and redesigned Us Weekly’s digital platforms and achieved significant growth both in audience and advertising revenue. He also spearheaded the transformation of RollingStone.com with a major site redesign and digital archive subscription product. Across the portfolio of Wenner properties, he led the establishment of large brand communities across social media.

Earlier in his career, Steven was General Manager, Digital for Reader’s Digest responsible for managing all of its digital assets globally. He began the digital chapter of his career heading global business development for Multex.com, Inc., and prior to that he practiced law and worked for an agency specializing in corporate trademark and brand extension licensing.

Steven resides on the Manhattan’s Upper West Side with his wife and two children. He thrives and refuels by hiking and spending time with his family at their country home on the weekends.
