General Operator
Tend to metal fabricating machines such as, cut-off saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, sizers, forming machines, spinning machines, and punches.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Produce parts as directed.
Prepare and inspect parts for final production.
Run first time production parts as directed and perform Poka Yokes.
Rotate positions within each cell for cross training
Use job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Set stops or guides to specified length as indicated
Position workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blades.
Detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
Monitor the output of quality parts through inspection, scrap records, statistical process controls, and station control sheets.
Measure workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy
Remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale
Perform 5S activities.
Other duties as assigned.
