Nasty Gal was founded in the year 2006.
In the year 2008, the company moved from selling clothing via its eBay store and started its own website for selling various kinds of clothing.
So in 2008, she posted an ad on Craigslist for a buying assistant and hired Christina Ferrucci, the first person who answered.
In the year 2009, the company had moved to its first warehouse, which was located in Berkeley, California, USA. Later onwards, it moved to a new 7,500 square foot warehouse in Emeryville, California, USA. Social media has been very important in the growth of the company as a whole.
By 2010, Nasty Gal started generating buzz among unlikely fans in Silicon Valley.
But by August, things were moving so quickly — Nasty Gal was on track to quadruple its 2011 sales to $128 million — that she raised an additional $40 million from Index and used some of it to build a 500,000-square-foot fulfillment center in Shepherdsville, Ky.
In the year 2015, the company had appointed Sheree Waterson, as the CEO of the company.
