1978

Nathan Adelson Hospice, founded in 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada, provides hospice and palliative care to over 350 patients per day.

1999

In 1999, the organization opened a second inpatient hospice facility, and Nathan Adelson Hospice now has 38 inpatient beds.

2003

In response to the community’s documented need for services, Nathan Adelson Hospice’s Center for Compassionate Care (CCC) evolved in 2003 to offer mental health care for those in Southern Nevada with issues associated with grief and loss, anticipated grief, or catastrophic illness.

2013

NAH was also listed in 2013 as one of the Best Places to Work by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Named one of the 30 Most Influential Leaders in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM). The 2013 visionaries included hospice pioneers such as Cicely Saunders, Elisabeth Kubler Ross and former president Ronald Reagan.
