Serves as the FAAs point of contact for operational regulatory matters. Handles, coordinates, and implements changes driven by regulatory matters such as lAls, VSDs, CAs for Flight Operations, Flight Operations Training, Dispatch, and Crew Scheduling. Responsible for NAL Internal Audit Program (IAP), Safety Management System (SMS), and IOSA compliance for Flight Operations and Flight Operations Training Has authority and responsibility for the development and implementation and overall success of NAL Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Program Actively serves as a member of multiple industry groups. Researches and reviews the CFRs, ACs, ADs, Orders, Notices, FAA Order 8900.1, and other FAA documents, and distributes to the applicable department for implementation into manuals and/or work procedures. Logs, reviews, and distributes for action, when required, the SAFO/ln FO list from the FAA. Monitors the FM Approved Deicing Program Updates and ensures the most current Deicing Holdover Timetables. Assists the Director of Operations to ensure Flight Ops complies with SMS and with NAL Internal Audit Program (IAP) Audits a wide range of Operational documentation to assess the level of compliance with written procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility: No Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in an aviation related discipline preferred. 4 years of management experience working for a Part 121 Air Carrier which may be substituted for 4 years of Part 121 flight operations experience or a combination of both. Due to flight crew interface with FDA program and aircraft limitations/envelopes, an FAA Pilot Certificate or FAA Dispatcher Certificate is preferred, not required Must have a clear understanding and working knowledge of all regulatory requirements including but not limited to National Airlines approved/accepted manuals, operations specifications, 14 CFRs, FAA Orders, Advisory Circulars, Handbook Bulletins, HBATs, FSATs, FSIBs, SAIBs, HBAWs, 32 CFR 861, and other regulatory documents pertinent to National Airlines' Air Carrier Certificate. Travel Requirements: 0-15% travel is required.
