SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for electrical/mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds in accordance with state and federal regulations and Company process and procedures. Utilize and operate equipment, material and tools for the purpose of inspection, diagnostics and repair/PM on mills, slitter, tool room equipment and misc facility needs as they arise. Responsible for support capacity of all plant functions, maintaining equipment in an operable, safe capacity. Complies with all safety, quality, customer focus, preventative maintenance and housekeeping standards. All other duties as assigned and expected.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the area in which the employee works is regularly exposed to moving mechanical equipment, parts and vibration. The area in which the employee works with can be exposed to hot or cold environment. The noise levels are mitigated by PPE hearing protection. The work environment also can various- one can expect to work indoors, outdoors as necessary, work in close/confined spaces- at times to be working at heights. The building temperatures vary, ranging from cold in the winter months to temperate summer climes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for several hours (up to 8-12 hours); use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; talk or hear; stoop; kneel; crouch; and crawl. The employee is rarely required/afforded an opportunity to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Rarely will an employee have to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color recognition, and ability to adjust focus. The essential functions of this classification include performing the following tasks:
Read and apply micrometer, caliper, gages and tape measure
Read and interpret equipment manufacturers and lubrication recommendations.
Perform required maintenance, repair PM's and lubrication on all equipment
Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude
All fork truck operations (observing all safety rules and precautions)
Fill out all proper forms- Maintenance, tow motor, crane inspection sheets
Correct interpretation and understanding of quality requirements to meet specs
Ability to run an overhead crane
Ability to run all maintenance machinery such as lathers, presses, grinders
Familiarity with PLC's, motor controls, sensors, limit switches and electro/mechanical systems, and 3-phase 480vt equipment
Complete knowledge of Company quality requirements
Complete knowledge of Company housekeeping rules
Maintain inventories of maintenance material, supplies, and repair parts at required levels by initiating request for purchase: periodically review inventory for proper upkeep
Recommend equipment and process improvements to improve efficiency and or achieve cost reduction.
Communicate via proper documentation to supervisor and appropriate management resources regarding quality and equipment problems, issues and concerns
Follow all applicable procedures and instructions including but not limited to preventative and routine maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvements, reporting od time and materials consumed as well as actively support business practices set forth by BMT, employees, contractors and other resources.
Work with work groups and reams to support the sustainability and continuous improvements of BMT and stakeholders.
Education & Experience Required: High School diploma/equivalent; Academic credentials or equivalent experience at the Technical degree level (2 years) are preferred
Equipment Used: Lathes, presses, grinders, torches, welders; Cranes; Assorted Hand and Power Tools; Micrometers; Rules; Tape Measures; brooms, shovels, various cleaning supplies.

Job Responsibilities
Provide direct backup and support to the Maintenance Manager on key responsibilities, including:
Setting and managing technician schedules, workflows, and training
Providing direct customer service, responding to complaints and requests, following up on service issues, and discussing products and services
Interacting with ASP's ops system throughout the day to monitor staff schedules, ensure clear communication with customers, review and process technician notes ("Alerts"), and spot check route stop and job reports
Actively recruit new maintenance accounts and onboard new customers
Manage a swimming pool route that includes cleaning up to 30 swimming pools in a standard workweek, including properly adjusting water chemistry and identifying equipment repair needs

Utilize and operate equipment, material and tools for the purpose of inspection, diagnostics and repair/PM on mills, slitter, tool room equipment and misc facility needs as they arise. Responsible for support capacity of all plant functions, maintaining equipment in an operable, safe capacity. Complies with all safety, quality, customer focus, preventative maintenance and housekeeping standards. All other duties as assigned and expected.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the area in which the employee works is regularly exposed to moving mechanical equipment, parts and vibration. The area in which the employee works with can be exposed to hot or cold environment. The noise levels are mitigated by PPE hearing protection. The work environment also can various- one can expect to work indoors, outdoors as necessary, work in close/confined spaces- at times to be working at heights. The building temperatures vary, ranging from cold in the winter months to temperate summer climes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand for several hours (up to 8-12 hours); use hands and fingers to manipulate, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
