Job Description Child Care Aware of Missouri (CCAMO) is seeking an experienced and energetic Director of Scholarships to lead scholarship initiatives that strengthen Missouri's early childhood workforce. Duties
Responsibilities: The Director of Scholarships provides strategic leadership and daily oversight for the TEACH Early Childhood Missouri Scholarship Program and the CDA Scholarship. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and managing all scholarship operations to ensure high-quality service delivery and full compliance with contract requirements. The Director oversees outreach and data collection and analysis to guide program improvement and support organizational decision-making.
In addition to operational oversight, the Director manages all fiscal components of the scholarship programs, including monthly invoicing, processing all fiscal items for scholarship participants, and maintaining accurate financial documentation. This position ensures that all financial activities are completed on time and in alignment with funder expectations and organizational standards.
The Director also provides strong leadership and supervision to the scholarship team, including coaching, performance management, and professional development support. This role maintains high performance standards, fosters a collaborative and accountable work environment, and ensures consistency in program implementation. This position reports to the Chief of Workforce Development.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Management of daily program and financial operations for the TEACH Missouri and CDA Scholarships to ensure that deliverables of all contracts and grants are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
Daily supervision and ongoing coaching and development of personnel assigned to the scholarship programs.
Manage relationships with scholarship partners such as institutions of higher education, online training entities and the Council for Professional Recognition.
Communicate the components and value of all scholarships to consumers and stakeholders through presentations, exhibits, special projects, outreach, and other marketing efforts.
Ensure adherence to contractual and license deliverables for all scholarship programs.
Oversee direct outreach to child care programs to recruit recipients and sponsoring employers into scholarship programs.
Conduct regular quality control checks of scholarship databases for reports, invoicing, and data analysis of scholarship programs outcomes.
Work with the Director of Data and Analysis to track data trends and participants reached through scholarship programs.
Assist in preparation and submission of data reports for all scholarship contracts, state departments of government, foundations, and other funders.
Maintain and update processes related to fiscal operations for the scholarships including invoicing, collections, and reimbursements.
Prepare invoices, reimbursement requests, and make purchases for services and materials related to all scholarship programs.
Continuous development of the Scholarships Advisory Committee including leading and creating content for quarterly meetings.
Increase awareness about scholarships with institutions of higher education to support the early childhood workforce.
Oversee collection of testimonials to increase awareness of scholarships and data to document the return on investment of the programs
Oversee scholarship counseling to ensure quality, accuracy and use of counseling best practices and to meet national licensing mandates.
Provide outstanding customer service including phone calls answered in a prompt, courteous, and polite manner, with a positive and unbiased tone.
Assist in implementation of special projects related to marketing and communications and the updating of scholarship-related materials.
Participate in advocacy efforts to increase compensation for the early childhood workforce.
Promotes the Mission, Vision, Beliefs, and Values of CCAMO.
Engages in the organization's fundraising and friend-raising activities.
Engage in other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Staff Competencies/Qualities:
BA/BS in early childhood education, child development, or closely related field.
In early childhood management, customer service, or work in higher education.
Using and managing databases.
In direct supervision of team members, coaching experience preferred.
Strong creative and professional writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both program and outreach settings.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Drive to make a difference in the lives of early childhood educators.

Nurse to patient ratios is 1:5-6 and PCA to patient ratios 1:6-8. All staff work 12-hour shifts, 0630 to 1900 and 1830 to 0700, which includes alternating weekends and holidays.

The CSS is a new position funded by a state contract through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Office of Childhood. Funding is provided through June 30, 2026, and may be renewed each year thereafter through June 30, 2030.
Responsibilities: The CSS will be a part of Missouri's statewide Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) system playing a vital role in connecting families, child care providers, and community members with the information and support they need. The CSS is responsible for answering incoming calls related to:
Child care subsidy navigation, guiding families through the application process, and referring them to appropriate services with accuracy and professionalism.
Child care referrals assisting families in finding child care programs and in knowing what to look for in quality program.
Information about specific community resources and state benefits.
As a representative of CCAMO and the Missouri Childhood Resource and Referral (MCRR) Center, the CSS provides phone-based support to a variety of consumers. Occasionally the CSS may also offer in-person assistance to help Missourians access high-quality child care and community-based resources.
This position reports directly to the Director of Resource Referral.
Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist families in locating and accessing the online child care subsidy application and provide guidance on completing the application accurately.
Review caller records, case files, and past call center phone interactions to determine the most appropriate next steps for resolving issues, based on the information available.
Guide families in identifying child care options within their requested zip code(s), including availability and, upon request, quality indicators of programs.
Update Provider Information Forms (PIFs) for child care providers and manage data within a statewide child care referral database.
Provide information on available resources and assist families, child care providers, and community members in locating local services through the Missouri Family Resources (MFR) website.
Understand the range of state benefit programs available in Missouri and accurately identify when and where callers should be transferred for specialized support or services.
Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate and up-to-date information on community resources across all counties in Missouri.
Demonstrate the ability to use typical call center systems such as Genesys and maintain a working understanding of the Child Care Data System, Missouri Family Resources website, and other relevant technology platforms.
