* Undergraduate degree in engineering or related curriculum or technical training in related mechanical or electrical studies (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
* 8 or more years of engineering or maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment that includes 1+ year of management experience; environmental compliance experience, PLC programming, and capital project and budget management experience
* Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment

GENERAL PURPOSE Drive truck or tractor at vehicle parking, yard or docking areas to move, position or park trucks and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving functions. Transport trucks and trailers for repairs, as necessary, according to policies and procedures and safety protocols. May also operate wash bay using all necessary equipment to clean tractors and trailers. Keep the yard neat and orderly.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Perform trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant or warehouse efficiencies and production needs
* Hook, unhook and move trucks to and from the service department and around dock area
* Spot or position loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading
* Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for the drivers
* Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log
* Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area
* Perform duties required to ensure that assigned area is sanitary and clean
* Wash exterior of trucks and trailers if appropriate for yard location
* Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes, as needed
* Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries
* Attend all driver workshops and training sessions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
