Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Partners with the CEO and executive team to shape and execute a comprehensive communications and outreach strategy that advances NCBE's mission and vision, strengthens brand reputation, and fosters understanding of NCBE's role within the legal profession.
Executive Communications: Serves as a key spokesperson and thought leader for NCBE. Crafts and delivers unique and compelling narratives that explain NCBE's critical role in the lawyer admissions process and highlight the organization's contributions to building a strong legal profession.
Integrated Communication Channels: Oversees all communication platforms-including digital, print, video, website, and social media-to ensure consistency of voice, tone, and brand across all channels.
Content Strategy and Publications: Works across departments and with key stakeholder groups to identify and amplify storytelling opportunities. Leads development of publications such as the

Media and Public Relations: Leads NCBE's media and public relations strategy, cultivating trusted relationships with national, legal, and higher education media outlets. Oversees press releases, interviews, and constituent communications to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and credibility.
Product and Service Lines: Partners with content leaders and subject matter experts for communications specific to product/service design, features, enhancements, and user experience. As NCBE approaches the launch of the NextGen bar exam, the CCO will assume the leading role in working collaboratively with other departments to ensure timely and proactive communication strategies for diverse stakeholder groups with interest in the NextGen exam, such as courts, admissions offices, law schools, law school faculty, law students, and the public. The successful candidate will also manage post-launch positioning and ongoing brand evaluation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engages with NCBE committees and key stakeholder groups to share updates on products and services, explore opportunities for collaboration, and address emerging issues and strategic initiatives.
Measurement and Insights. Implements tools and processes to assess communications effectiveness, stakeholder sentiment, and brand impact, using insights to refine strategy and ensure continual improvement.
Team Leadership and Development: Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing Communications Department. Oversees administrative functions, budget management, and team operations.
Board and Executive Relations: Serves as a liaison to the Board of Trustees on communication strategy and stakeholder relations, providing strategic counsel to the CEO and Board Chair on organizational reputation, risk, and messaging.
Qualifications:
Law degree and/or demonstrated knowledge of the bar admissions process and legal education preferred.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in communications, with at least 5 years in an executive or senior leadership role.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful, comprehensive communications plans and outreach strategies across multiple platforms.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior executives and staff to achieve goals.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong public speaking and media engagement experience.
Demonstrated cultural competence.
Experience leading communications during periods of organizational transformation, innovation, or change.

The Bar Examination Editor works with legal subject matter experts (e.g., law school faculty, judges, and practicing attorneys) from around the country to develop content for NCBE's high-stakes, legal licensure exams and study aids for those examinations. The Bar Examination Editor is responsible for final content of assigned NCBE examinations in particular content areas and must complete the assigned work within the exam development and production cycles. Attention to detail and participating in a multifaceted quality-control process are critical for success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides item-writing assignments to subject matter experts who draft items in assigned content areas for specific examinations.
Edits submitted items, with particular attention to substantive accuracy, clarity, appropriateness to entry-level practice of law, fairness, and bias. Confirms authorities supporting the correctness of answers and verifies the detailed specifications of items.
Collaborates with other Bar Examination Editors to further edit items in other content areas and for other examinations as needed. For short-answer and essay examinations, drafts and edits model answers and grading materials and verifies authorities supporting those materials.
Assists as needed in developing additional item types and specifications for new NCBE examinations.
Provides ongoing training to subject matter experts in accordance with established style guides and content specifications.
Promotes positive working relationships with subject matter experts.
Manages the item-writing and review cycles for subject matter experts and other external review experts. This includes assessing the status of the item bank and identifying areas where more items are needed.
Participates in projects to increase the item bank, including creating new items for review and revision by subject matter experts.
Selects groups of items for upcoming exams in compliance with current content specifications and as approved by the department leadership, research staff, and subject matter experts.
Assists with reviewing item placement on exams and other quality-control tasks.
Demonstrates an understanding of performance statistics for tested items.
Follows security and quality-control protocols and ensures that subject matter experts are aware of security protocols.
Participates as the staff representative at off-site, multi-day meetings with subject matter experts.
Attends grading events, policy committee meetings, and/or other NCBE events.
Coordinates creation and review of new study aids and conducts periodic reviews of existing NCBE study aids.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an ABA-approved law school and admitted to the bar in at least one jurisdiction.
Experience in law practice or law clerking is preferred.
Demonstrated writing and editing skill.
2+ years of legal editing experience required.
Proofreading experience is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, Chicago Manual of Style, and AP style guidelines.
High level of organizational and time management skills.

What You'll Do:
Help lead daily chapel worship with campers and staff
Assist in selecting and performing worship songs that connect with youth
Collaborate with ministry staff to create engaging worship moments
Maintain music equipment and a clean, welcoming worship space
Assist with camper arrival/departure on weekends
Participate in other camp activities as planned by the Recreation and Ministry Departments, as the schedule allows, mainly after dinner hours.
Flex into other roles and temporary assignments to other duties (including Cabin Leader) if needed

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a 9-month renewable reading instructional academic staff in the area of literacy education with an emphasis on reading and language arts education beginning August 2026.
This full-time position is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in the Elementary/Middle School teacher preparation program, providing service, and/or performing comparable duties to those of teaching faculty members.
The successful candidate will be able to teach literacy instruction, literacy assessment, and literacy theory and as part of the teacher preparation programs. The candidate will also be expected to participate in service activities, provide academic advising to students, and supervise pre-student teaching and student teaching field experiences. All instructional academic staff at UW-Whitewater may be required to teach online and hybrid classes, evening and weekend classes, and provide service to the university and the local community in a variety of modalities, including committee work, leading Learning Communities, mentoring students, and providing professional development for colleagues, schools, and community groups. Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to working with non-traditional students are essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
Full-time teaching responsibilities include teaching literacy courses, service, practicum supervision, and student teaching field experiences. Department Information:
The Curriculum and Instruction Department in the UW-Whitewater College of Education & Professional Studies (COEPS) allows students to prepare for careers as teachers. Students may choose the Early Childhood Program, the Elementary/Middle School Program, or a Middle/Secondary School Program. In each program, students are prepared for Department of Public Instruction (DPI) licensure.
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) houses numerous teacher preparation programs along with programs for add-on licenses for certified teachers and the MSE Professional Studies, MSE in Reading Instruction and Dyslexia Intervention, MSE Early Childhood Education Policy, and administrator certificates for principal, director of instruction, and director of pupil services. We are proud of our programs that lead to licensure, either a first-time license or an add-on license. As they move through their coursework, students combine a commitment to education with a solid liberal arts foundation, a teaching major, and the study of teaching. All students engage in at least three school-based clinical experiences that allow them to apply their knowledge to actual classroom situations, preparing them to be effective teachers and instructional leaders in our changing schools. Plans and leads regular jurisdiction engagement activities-including webinars, office hours, and administrator forums-to ensure consistent and clear communication, iteration, and feedback loops.

The Division of Nephrology consists of eight division members, two of whom are on a protected research track, in addition to three APPs. Existing division members include the medical director of pediatric transplantation and the director of renal replacement services. The division provides compassionate, specialized care to children with kidney disorders, including hypertension, congenital abnormalities of the urinary tract, kidney stones, inherited and acquired kidney diseases, and acute and chronic kidney failure that requires transplantation. Program members also provide care for children with metabolic bone disease via a multidisciplinary Regional Bone Clinic. Research is being conducted in the areas of transplant, dialysis, metabolic bone disease, AKI, neonatal outcomes, palliative care, and rejection biomarkers, among others.

Job Responsibilities:
Coordinates non-academic scheduling for the University Center, UC Mall area, Esker & Drumlin dining hall complexes, academic rooms, lecture halls, and other spaces campus wide. Requires prioritization of multiple requests as well as knowledge of campus policies, facilities, room set ups, audio-visual, and catering.
Serves as the primary informational source of reservations/event policies and guidelines for the campus and general public and applies policies consistently.
Advises sponsors with special event planning and large-scale campus, campus recruitment events, opening activities, and community events.
Supervises and trains student staff to support daily operations and ensures customer service objectives are met as follows:
Hire, train schedule, supervise and evaluate UC Reservationists (8-16)
Provide emergency response training for all UC Staff
Train student staff on workflow of the event management process including making reservations, creating detailed event documentation and providing reports
Conduct weekly staff meetings and training for UC Reservationists
Assist with events sponsored by the UC, including facilitation of fall, spring, and summer trainings, for student employees
Participate in ongoing professional development
Implements operational procedures, methods, and policies to achieve established goals, meet policy compliance requirements, and ensure outstanding customer service:
Assist with UC facility general quality control (spot check setups, signage, cleanliness, postings, and other items as needed)
Provides event advising
Assists with movable equipment inventory
Responsible for ongoing emergency training and communication with UC staff, as well as ensuring safe working and event conditions
Assist with event support when reservation volume indicates additional staffing or expertise is needed
Evaluates, designs, and implements operations to align with strategic direction for the UC Building Operations units:
Be proficient and participate in ongoing trainings for 25 Live room scheduling system and serve as a backup reservationist when student staff are unavailable and an emergency backup to the Operations & Events Manager as needed
Coordinates the campus-wide special event and series reservation processes and creates/updates all forms used for these processes and maintains thorough records
Collaborates with stakeholders to identify room reservation reporting needs. Prepares and generates reports for daily operations as requested by the Assistant Director of Operations
Duties include lifting room setup equipment, working at heights, and driving university vehicles
Participates as a member of the University Center Staff:
Facilitates weekly Building Use meetings, attends UC Staff, and other meetings as assigned
Serve on committees and events as assigned, ie: UC Building Use, UC Staff, UC Programming, Warhawk Welcome, etc.
Assists the University Center Assistant Director of Operations with implementation and monitoring related portions of related annual budgets in line with goals and objectives.
Responsible for generating invoices and collecting revenue for room rentals and guest services.

Required Qualifications:
