We are looking for a highly motivated and service-oriented individual to join our Multi-line Damage team as a Multi-line Adjuster! As an ambassador for GEICO's renowned customer service, you will work in a dynamic environment that may include repair shops, salvage yards, and customer's homes. You will be responsible for inspecting damage, estimating cost of repairs, negotiating settlements, issuing payments, and providing excellent customer service. This position primarily will include servicing vessels, motorcycles, RV and other specialty claims.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid driver's license (must meet company underwriting guidelines for at least the past 3 consecutive years) and the ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits
Must attain and maintain the required licenses issued by state insurance departments
Willingness to be flexible with primary work location
Solid computer, mechanical aptitude, and multi-tasking skills
Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, and willingness to expand on these abilities
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, college degree or currently pursuing preferred

Annual Salary
$32.05 - $57.49
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Catastrophe Response Team- Traveling Storm Adjuster
$23.27- $32.59 minimum starting pay

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Deliver a high-quality claims experience for all policyholders and claimants by managing claims with professionalism and empathy
Verify coverage and assist in determining liability for a range of accident scenarios, under guidance from senior adjusters or claims leadership
Obtain detailed accident statements from drivers, passengers, and witnesses to develop clear liability perspectives
Maintain consistent, prompt, and courteous contact with all involved parties throughout the claim lifecycle
Use time management and organizational skills to proactively manage pending claims, tasks, and correspondence
Coordinate vehicle repairs and assist customers with rental reimbursement processes
Participate in team reviews of claims handling practices to strengthen understanding of policy language and claim best practices

What You Will Need to Succeed
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Obtains salvage values of total loss vehicles
Prepares total loss damage evaluation, total loss letter, determination, and actual cash value of vehicle when appropriate
Prepare and secure all needed paperwork
Consistently provides excellent customer service
Determines settlement value and negotiates proper settlement of claims within authority
Provides recommendations for settlement and disposition of claims exceeding authority level
Pursues subrogation when appropriate
Provides backup assistance to team members when necessary
Effectively manages workload and tasks to keep claims current and documented appropriately
Identifies claims in which state required letters must be sent and sends those letters in a timely manner with accurate and thorough information

What Will You Do?
As an Field Property Claims Adjuster, you will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve predominately property claims in a fair, prompt and equitable manner. You are a source of knowledge and comfort during difficult times. When faced with the destructive aftermath of a natural disaster, you help clients through the claims process. You also support them as they rebuild their businesses and resume their lives. Federated provides a defined training program to teach you the fundamentals of commercial claims and prepare you to serve clients.
This is a home-based position with travel by car and/or plane frequently, including frequent overnight travel.
Due to the travel involved, this employee must be living, or planning to relocate, within 1 hour of a major airport.
Responsibilities
* Evaluates claims, determines the validity of coverage, conducts necessary investigation, and appraises damage.
* Explain policy coverage to clients and third parties.
* Secures proper settlement documentation. Determines and authorizes settlement payments based on the results of the investigation and the determination of coverage/liability.
* Determine the value of damaged items.
* Negotiate settlements with clients or third parties.
* Conducts field investigations. Makes recommendations for the resolution of claims exceeding authority limits.
* Retains the services of and collaborates with outside experts such as medical specialists, appraiser, and engineers when deemed necessary to secure all relevant facts for proper evaluation of claims.
* Negotiates directly with claimants and/or their attorneys to effect binding settlements. Attends hearings and trials to evaluate testimony.
Minimum Qualifications
* Current pursuing, or have obtained a four-year degree
* Demonstrate the ability to proficiently and effectively manage work with minimal work direction
* Strong analytical, computer and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Physical Demand / Work Environment
* Travel by car and/or plane frequently, including overnight and occasional multi-night travel
* Occasionally adjust work schedule and/or work extra hours including evenings and weekends.
* Ascend/descend a ladder
* Lift, push and pull items weighing 60 pounds
* Operate a variety of power equipment

Salary Range: $70,200 - $85,800

Job Summary
As a Claim Representative II, you'll handle complex property damage and auto liability claims across multiple jurisdictions (LA, TX, MS, AL, FL, GA). You'll investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims within your authority while maintaining compliance with client service standards and CCMSI claim best practices.

Responsibilities
Investigate, evaluate, and adjust assigned liability claims in accordance with jurisdictional laws and CCMSI procedures
Handle auto property damage and commercial trucking liability claims, including subrogation and negotiation with claimants, attorneys, and carriers
Establish reserves, authorize payments, and negotiate settlements within authority
Manage litigation and coordinate with defense counsel
Prepare detailed reports on claims, reserves, and settlements
Ensure compliance with all client and regulatory requirements
Contribute to a positive, solutions-oriented team culture that values service, integrity, and ownership
Qualifications
Required
Active home-state adjuster's license with reciprocity in listed jurisdictions (LA, TX, MS, AL, FL, GA)
5+ years of experience adjusting auto property damage and liability claims for commercial clients
Proven ability to handle litigated claims and negotiate settlements
Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred
Prior experience handling commercial trucking or multi-jurisdictional liability claims
Background with a TPA or insurance carrier environment
