Physical Therapists work in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team to provide excellent outcomes and increased independence for our patients and their families. The residency program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP). The program provides structured training and progress assessment in all aspects of clinical medical physics in diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine, with direct supervision by the medical physics faculty. National Home Health is an industry leader in post-acute home health care services. We are currently seeking a California Registered Speech Therapist who will be going to individual patient homes in order to provide treatment as ordered by the patient's physician.
Immediate needs in the following areas: Pittsburg, Antioch, Brentwood, and Oakley
Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Evaluates speech and language abilities and patient's level of function.
Plans and administers rehabilitative services for speech and language disorders.
Assists in developing and implementing the patient plan of care.
Observes, reports and records types of patient treatment as well as patient's progress and/or regression.
Submits written reports of patient progress at the designated intervals of every thirty (30) days and at discharge using the appropriate forms.
Selects and administers diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and material for patient evaluation and treatment purposes.
Instructs, teaches, supervises and counsels other applicable personnel and family members in methods of assisting the patient in improving, correction and/or accepting his or her disabilities.
Instructs, teaches and supervises the patient's family in the total speech therapy program.
Participates in in-service education and staff development activities.
Evaluates home environment and makes appropriate recommendations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
ST must be a certified member of the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Possess a Master's degree in speech pathology or its equivalent
At least one (1) year of supervised work experience with adult patients
Licensed by the California Board of Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers.
