Key Responsibilities: Takes radiographs per physician orders. Must be versatile within the diagnostic department of Radiology. Protects all patients and employees from unnecessary radiation. Has knowledge of the front desk operations as well as the computer systems and reports all equipment problems to manager and Clinical Engineers. Can schedule all exams done through the whole department-alerting a supervisor when necessary. Can use the centralize transport program for patient transportation. Can look up pertinent information in the computer systems concerning patient exams, ordering, reprinting or canceling when necessary. Able to interact professionally with other departments. Can effectively call in needed on call imaging associates as required. All equipment problems are called to the clinical engineering 24 hour phone number. Messages are communicated to co-workers, written or verbal. Managers are alerted to all equipment problems (paging during periods of on call) if necessary. Remains available for assignment as needed. Assisting the Radiologic Technologist Students. Performs operationally required duties associated with equipment quality assurance, regulatory compliance (ODH, Joint Commission), ordering of supplies, scheduling of staff and hospital and departmental audits. Access to patient records in course of normal operations to conduct the business of medical imaging is a responsibility of all designated personnel. Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Knowledge of medical terminology, isolation and sterile techniques/procedures. Patient positioning and equipment operation (x-ray machines and printers). Graduation from ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology school. ARRT BLS (American Heart Assoc.) Frequent travel, sometimes overnight, may be required. Occasional overtime may be required. Living environs will be relevant to the work location to address call outs and emergency response. Knowledge and experience with high pressure gas and liquids, processing equipment, medium voltage motors and associated equipment, pumps and reciprocating or gas turbine engines and compressors. Essential duties and responsibilities: Responsible for all activities related to electrical and control integrity including design, installation, inspection, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration and adjust various pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic, and Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems. Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers and auxiliary equipment. Perform Inspection and Maintenance (I & M) checks on all control systems. Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution. Perform advanced engine/compressor/pump analytical testing and troubleshooting. Lead efforts to develop and implement changes as a result of the analytical testing. Evaluation/development/implementation/maintenance of facility grounding systems. Responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance, janitorial, and housekeeping duties of all facilities and equipment as needed. Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and tariff requirements. Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns. Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork. Oversee the construction, maintenance and/or work activities performed by third parties. Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence. Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism. Must communicate clearly using high level verbal and listening skills. Maintain a regular and dependable attendance record. Consistently deliver high performance results to meet high expectations Will work non-traditional hours as needed. Conduct predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance on all instrumentation and controls equipment. Actively support Operational Excellence and Asset Management and Reliability programs. Be an active participant in routine and shutdown/turnaround facility maintenance. Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and optimize plant process control equipment such as control valves, transmitters, gas flow meters. Organize and/or conduct daily instrumentation activities. Be an active participant in Certarus MOC process. Order parts create work orders, and capture equipment history in company CMMS. Participate in Environment, Health and Safety programs. Work with a variety of pneumatic, electronic and microcomputer instruments used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, level, motion, force and chemical composition. Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures. Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, diagnose faults and tubing. Diagnose and repair PLC issues and malfunctions. Requirements: Minimum of 4-5 years of electrical or instrumentation experience. Must have knowledge and the ability to read and interpret all information found within electrical, mechanical blueprints and diagrams. Proficiency with a variety of I/E hand tools meters, instrument calibration equipment etc. Ability to trouble shoot complex electrical control systems and to maintain instrumentation systems. Journeyman instrumentation or electrician certification is an asset. Clean driving record with the ability to travel extensively within the Southern/Central US regions (60 - 80%.)
