This position is located in FORT WORTH, TEXAS.
Job Summary
: Preserve the quality standards of products by the inspection of incoming materials, in-process work, finished products, and recording the quality results
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Read blueprints and use inspection equipment
Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced (primarily machined parts)
Inspection and measuring equipment calibration duties (machine shop related equipment)
Develop and conduct various inspections on inbound materials from suppliers and outbound internally made products (machined parts and assemblies)
Ensure that the quality check procedure in place are followed during every manufacturing phase
Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and document the corrective actions that were taken
Educate the manufacturing team on quality control issues and work with departmental supervisors to improve overall product quality
Create process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with departmental supervisors

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Quality lead, the Assistant Electrical Quality Inspector is responsible for assisting the Electrical Quality Inspector with the quality control management and Electrical works acceptance of large scale, solar and battery storage projects. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough, hands-on field inspections to evaluate the condition of area equipment.
* Monitor the condition of area equipment by planning, performing, and directing inspections, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures for equipment requiring repair or replacement.
* Conduct jurisdictional inspections on CAL/OSHA-regulated equipment, such as boilers.
* Maintain accurate equipment files and collaborate with the RBI Analyst to keep risk assessments current, ensuring compliance with MPC standards.
* Develop scope and provide supporting documentation (justification, timing, preparation, etc.) for mechanical integrity work on fixed equipment, including routine maintenance, major repairs, and turnarounds.
* Complete assigned Management of Change (MOC) and INTELEX tasks as directed by the Area Team Leader.
* Document "as-found" and "as-left" conditions of fixed equipment to support risk-based work planning.
* Partner with engineering and area teams to identify and support projects that enhance equipment reliability.
* Assist in problem-solving using tools such as life cycle cost analysis, root cause analysis, HAZOPs, equipment history reviews, and risk-based work selection.
* Participate in required training programs as identified by the Inspection Supervisor.
* Serve as Program Manager for specialty projects and programs that support mechanical integrity at LAR.
Education, Experience and Skills:
Minimum Qualifications
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED. (Education must be completed prior to start date).
* Must have at least 5 years as an Inspector in a Refinery or petro-chemical industry.
* Must have Current API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspection) and API 570 (Piping Inspection) certifications and 5 years of relevant inspection experience.
* Must be able to obtain NBIC Certification and State of California Certificate of Competency.
