The Warehouse Associate's responsibility is to track shipments and receive, process, store, and distribute materials, equipment, and products. The Warehouse Associate will move materials and/or other items from receiving to production, storage, or other designated areas by hand, forklift, crane, etc. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for shipping and receiving, unloading trucks with a forklift or crane, checking in material, opening bales, crates, and other containers, matching purchase orders to vendor receipts and/or packing slips. Accurately stock material physically and electronically into proper warehouse bins or racks/shelves. Read and accurately transact customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for vendor and customer traffic. Assist in routine cycle counting of inventory which entails weighing and counting items to ensure conformance to company standards. Record transactional amounts of materials or items received issued via appropriate ERP & Warehouse Management Systems transaction. Ability to review MTR's and maintain traceability on required material. Perform 5S activities as assigned. Sweep, dust, mop, and always organize warehouse and work area for orderliness. Responsibilities: Inventory Support Unload incoming shipments, verify contents against order forms, ensure goods are in good condition, and process packing slips Pick and pull materials from inventory for projects as listed, update project material records, and interact with accounting software to maintain inventory levels Restock materials returned from projects Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and identify discrepancies Forklift operation Project Support Safely prepare, load and strap materials to vehicles for material mobilizations Pickup and deliver materials from suppliers to projects as needed Warehouse Support Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouses and parking lot Perform small construction projects within warehouse Qualifications: Must have valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record to allow for driving of company vehicle Must be able to work on feet all day and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, 100 lbs assisted Must be able to work as early as 6am every day Detail-oriented and well organized Able to communicate clearly and effectively with others Ability to use computer systems for inventory management and order processing. NGSG has immediate opening for a Warehouse Assistant. Must be able to count inventory as needed, fill orders from pick tickets, stock shelves, and receive parts from suppliers. Job Purpose Responsible for delivering material and warehouse and pipe yard operations including pulling stock to fill customer orders, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and warehouse/yard maintenance and upkeep. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not all inclusive) Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. * Deliver material to customers on time, providing excellent customer service. * Unload material, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks. * Inspect material for minimum MRC Global quality requirements. * Maintain site inventory by assisting in inventory audits. * Stock and transfer material, tools, and equipment to the appropriate shelf, bin, rack, or pipe bundle by a predetermined sequence, including bin location, size, type, style, and length. * Mark the material with the correct identifying information. * Transfer material to and from the shops for modification purposes. * Assemble customer orders from stock and package orders in boxes and pallets as per customer requirements. * Pull orders for delivery and stock-to-stock transfer. * Load onto the correct truck or transfer to the packing area using a forklift, overhead crane, and heavy equipment. * Prepare documentation for UPS, LTL, SH, or Air shipments. * Enter appropriate inventory (incoming and outgoing) information into the SIMS system, as needed. * Maintain warehouse cleanliness in compliance with OSHA and MRC Global safety policies.
