National Panhellenic Conference company history timeline

1902

By 1902, it was obvious that some standards were needed, so Alpha Phi invited Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma, Gamma Phi Beta, Delta Delta Delta, Alpha Chi Omega and Chi Omega to a conference in Chicago on May 24.

In 1902, Alpha Phi rekindled the organization and invited several groups to establish the Inter-Sorority Conference, later called the National Panhellenic Conference.

1912

1913

1930

On May 10, 1930, on the campus of Howard University, in Washington DC, the National Pan-Hellenic Council was formed as a permanent organization with the following charter members: Alpha Kappa Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, and Zeta Phi Beta.

1931

In 1931, Alpha Phi Alpha and Phi Beta Sigma joined the Council.

2015

At the 2015 NPC Annual Meeting, North Carolina Beta Carol Warren received the Distinguished Service Award.
