In 1976, the NSBE was officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
The NSBE-NYC Professionals chapter was established in 1990 and had a vision to support the pre-college engineering students and high achieving engineering professionals in the greater New York City area.
Encouraging every member to get a new member, reactivating defunct chapters, and identification of new areas for international expansion will assist us in increasing our membership to a minimum of 20,000 by the close of the 2006 National Convention.
