Douglas William Wisor is the Chief Executive Officer and President at National Spine & Pain Centers.

Chief Legal Officer of National Spine and Pain Centers which is owned by Avista Capital Partners and Enhanced Healthcare Partners. Formerly CLO of CleanSlate Centers, Inc. which provides outpatient addiction treatment at approximately 80 locations in 12 states. CleanSlate is owned by venture capital firm Granite Growth. Also serving as Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining CleanSlate I served as EVP, Chief Legal & Administrative Officer of Capella Healthcare until it was sold to Apollo Global Management in 2016. Capella was owned by GTCR, a PE firm with extensive healthcare experience. Capella owned and operated hospitals in the U.S., including a four hospital joint venture with Ascension Health, one of the leading Catholic health systems. I was responsible for all legal matters, and served as Chief Compliance Officer for part of my tenure. The Human Resources department reported to me as well. I am a highly experienced healthcare attorney with more than 20 years experience serving some of the most well regarded healthcare organizations in the U.S., including HCA and LifePoint Health. My practice has involved counseling hospitals and related healthcare providers with respect to acquisitions and divestitures, all manner of regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse regulations, physician relationships and alignment strategies, peer review, medical staff and quality matters. While at HCA I served as Managing Counsel and led a team of 5 lawyers that was responsible for all the legal needs of approximately 50 hospitals in the southwestern U.S. While at Lifepoint I served as Operations General Counsel and led a team of 4 lawyers responsible for the legal needs of more than 55 hospital. I also have extensive experience with health policy matters. In 2015 I was selected to serve as a Fellow of the NHCC, a group of 36 senior healthcare executives who completed coursework led by Sen. Bill Frist and Dr. Larry Van Horn of Vanderbilt University's Owen School of Business. In July 2019 I was appointed to the ABA’s Joint Opioid Task Force and in July 2020 I became Chair of ABA SUD & Behavioral Health Interest Group.

Dr. Staats, a co-founder of electroCore, has been on the board of electroCore since its inception. He was the founder of the Division of Pain Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, where he was the director for 10 years. Dr. Staats is internationally recognized for his work in developing and implementing minimally invasive procedures for chronic pain, and his patents have led to the use of novel pharmacologic agents (Qutenza patch).

Dr. Staats received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and completed his residency and fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is a past President of the North American Neuromodulation Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, New Jersey Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Southern Pain Society. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Examination of the World Institute of Pain and continues to serve as Chief Medical Officer for National Spine and Pain Centers, the largest pain practice in the United States.

Dr. Staats has written or co-edited 10 books and over 400 articles, abstracts, monographs, and book chapters on pain medicine in publications that include the Journal of the American Medicine Association, Pain, Anesthesiology, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology. His work has been highlighted on Good Morning America, CBS Evening News, Newsweek, and CNN. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally. He has received numerous awards including physician of the year from the New York, New Jersey, and West Virginia branches of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians; Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors, and New Jersey Top Doctor; and the Raj Award for Excellence from the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

As a Marketing executive I have held progressive positions of leadership in Fortune 500 companies, private equity backed firms, and start-ups. Areas of expertise include: Strategy development and execution, product management, innovation, marketing communications, advertising, public relations, and digital marketing. Career highlights include:

- Co-founded technology start-up (Vesdia Corporation), which was sold to a Private Equity firm

- Conceived of 180+ products and launched several patent-pending innovations in the past 15 years
