In 2014, she was appointed and commissioned Admiral of the Chesapeake Bay by Governor Martin O'Malley in recognition of "her commitment to the conservation and restoration of our beloved Chesapeake Bay, its surrounding landscapes, and the life that inhabits them." She earned a BA, Business Administration degree in Finance from Loyola College in Maryland.
