Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist- Poulsbo, Washington Animal Emergency and Specialty Center located in beautiful Poulsbo, Washington, is recruiting for a second internist. We are seeking a second internal medicine specialist to join our collaborative, progressive, and growing team. You will be joining an internal medicine service that was started in 2024 by our current internist, who is experienced and has previously worked in a five-internist specialty practice. She is excited to welcome another DACVIM to continue to grow the practice, share knowledge and cases, and offer expanded internal medicine services to our committed and very grateful clientele. Supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, advanced imaging, and a dedicated team of technicians and colleagues, you can make this position your own. In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with the CSR Manager, supporting client services staff, members of the hospital, grooming, and lodging teams. This individual has oversight of the Receptionist staff to ensure productive and quality veterinary care are given at all times. This position entails a full time work schedule (minimum 32 hours), with the flexibility to attend monthly Leadership meetings and potentially off site training sessions. Job Responsibilities * Performs all duties of a CSR, including answering incoming calls, managing GP schedule, and handling incoming Emergency patients. * Works with CSR Staff to ensure that all clients/patients are receiving quality care while maintaining a smooth flow of hospital operations. o Every client/patient is being added to EzyVet correctly, and verification of email and phone numbers are being conducted o Every client / patient is being added to the correct whiteboard in Smartflow in a timely manner * Demonstrates and reinforces the highest level of client service * Resolves client issues and escalations, and works with CSR Manager to ensure appropriate follow up is had * Responsible for verifying the accuracy of logged cash transactions and ensuring staff is properly trained on cash management protocols * Monitors computer systems and works with HelpDesk to resolve technical systems/equipment issues. * Conducts self with the highest level of professionalism and discretion in regards to private information or coaching conversations. * Must be able to work from a seated position for extended periods of time. Job Description The Client Services Specialist is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with with clients and supporting medical staff to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a smooth and efficient flow of clients and patients through the animal hospital. Job Responsibilities * Responsible for greeting clients, determining the needs of the clients and patients, and completing the check-in and check-out process. Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients. * Follows established policy and procedures in scheduling clients for prompt treatment of ill and/or injured patients, as well as proper scheduling of patients in need of vaccinations, rechecks, surgeries, in-hospital procedures, and other services that require the doctors' and technicians' time. * Helps with client reminders for annual health assessments, parasite checks, dentistry, senior care, etc. * Pulls patient charts for daily scheduled appointments and collects information to make necessary updates, including the creation of new charts, when appropriate. * Assists technician in filling prescriptions with appropriate medication and providing routine instructions to owners on the proper administration of the medication. Must have or obtain a med-clerks license * Performs over-the-counter sales of merchandise such as food and special diets, shampoos, flea and tick control products, heartworm, etc. Demonstrates a technical knowledge of products and is capable of assisting clients with their product needs. * Invoices clients, collects fees, makes change, imprints credit card forms, and obtains authorization for credit charges following the credit policies of the hospital. * Demonstrates basic emergency procedures and can give proper information on transporting the patient to an emergency hospital. The expectation is that the GP Tech Assistant is fast, efficient, professional and knowledgeable in all interactions with clients. The Tech Assistant is also responsible for maintaining an appropriate pace of treatment and data collection to keep the Doctor on time and accountable to their scheduled appointments. This is a high customer service interface position and incumbents must have a love of client education and service.
