    SportsVet Animal Medical Center is seeking a Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! We are a busy full-service, AAHA accredited animal hospital located in Savoy, Illinois. We provide a wide range of services for our patients including routine veterinary wellness care, orthopedic surgery, chiropractic care, and rehabilitation. We have cultivated an outgoing and fun team that provides high quality patient care. Our team philosophy is to treat each pet as if it were our own. The candidate we are seeking should be professional and willing to work as part of our team. In this role you will: Work closely with our Doctors seeing appointments, assisting in routine surgeries, and developing lasting relationships with our clients. Spend time talking with owners providing valuable client education. Be a well utilized technician able to perform a variety of technical tasks including: blood draw, placing intravenous catheters, executing all aspects of anesthesia from start to finish, administering SQ, IM & IV injections, calculating medication dosages and preparing medications, running both in house and referral lab-work as well as daily client interactions. Be expected to perform a variety of diagnostic procedures including taking diagnostic quality digital x-rays and demonstrating proficiency with routine laboratory tests such as fecal analysis, urinalyses, hematology, and ear cytology. Be an integral part of the record keeping process. All records are documented digitally into the medical record.
