Nancy L. Withbroe is the Vice President for Development and Strategy at the National Women's Law Center. Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Withbroe served as Senior Director, Development at Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. During her tenure there she led a large team of fundraising professionals who raised millions of dollars from and formed innovative partnerships with individual donors, foundations and companies for Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. She previously worked as a non-profit fundraising executive at CDR Fundraising Group, advising such organizations as the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, and the Wounded Warrior Project, among others. Before that, she maintained her own fundraising consultancy. She also has served in fundraising and program management roles at the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital and TLC — the Treatment and Learning Centers. Ms. Withbroe holds a BA in English and Women's Studies from Carleton College and an MA in Educational Leadership from American University and is a certified fundraising executive (CFRE). She served as president of the Washington, D.C. Metro Area Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and was honored by the Chapter in 2012 as the inaugural recipient of the President's Award for Distinguished Volunteer Service. She was a founding co-chair of the Bridge to Integrated Marketing and Fundraising Conference, one of the largest educational conferences for nonprofit professionals in North America.
