Participates in the planning, development, scheduling, and the performance of engineering assignments related to the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of LNG projects. Applies engineering practices as directed by other team members. Assumes supervisory on-call assignments as required.
Essential Functions:
Under direction, designs systems or installations to fit objectives, conforming to industry standards, guidelines and regulations of federal, state and local authorities Plant systems include, but are not limited to; gas pretreatment, liquefaction, boil off gas handling, cryogenic tank storage, plant utilities, firewater, low and medium voltage electrical systems and plant control systems. Performs site layouts and prepare necessary documents for procurement, permitting and construction. Specifies and procure materials and equipment Develops and maintains field procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures, federal, state and local regulations and codes Coordinates construction activities with customers, contractors, States, Municipalities and internal departments Assists in the oversite of construction activities to insure specification and code compliance. Ensure compliance with field procedures and the coordination with Gas ControlReviews purchase requisitions, and invoices related to departmental activity.Assists in gas distribution system restoration efforts during emergencies

Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.This position is categorized as safety-sensitive for the purpose of drug testing. **Job Purpose**

+ Research, install, and configure data interfaces from plant instrumentation and control systems to SCADA systems.

+ Provide plant operations and performance engineers with reliable data and graphic representations of plant systems for evaluating key plant performance indicators.

+ Introduce new instrumentation interface technologies to plant management to assist in performance improvement methods and techniques.

+ Maintain knowledge of current networking and instrumentation interface technologies.

+ Maintain required security on critical computer systems and networked devices installed and used in the plants.

+ Support asset management functions by providing appropriate, timely data to asset management and operators.

+ Knowledge of NERC CIP requirements as they pertain to critical cyber assets and operational technology (OT).

+ Develop departmental standard and management of internal/external project compliance to standards, to ensure optimum efficiency, cost effectiveness, safety and security.

Kiewit Industrial Engineering (K-IND) is seeking a Senior-Level Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Process Engineer. This role is located in Lenexa, KS, with the opportunity for flexible work. We are looking for ideal candidates to grow the Kiewit team by helping establish, maintain, and improve company standards and tools while also utilizing these standards and tools to contribute to project success. Candidates shall have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the natural gas and/or biogas industries to help us grow our RNG/Energy business.

**Responsibilities**

• Participating and supporting renewable natural gas proposal development.

• Performing process and chemical mass balance modelling for renewable natural gas projects.

• Work with appropriate equipment manufacturers, vendors, and suppliers on specifying process equipment for renewable natural gas projects.

• Lead and participate in design teams, support engineering calculations, and the design process.

• Supporting and construction and commissioning process on appropriate facility design projects.

• Participating, leading, and troubleshooting the field start up and commissioning on renewable natural gas projects.

• Providing guidance and mentoring to staff and project engineers.

**Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in the natural gas and/or biogas industries

• A PE License with the ability to gain additional state licensure, and/or NCEES record.

• Experience working in the EPC project preferred.

• Significant work experience in gas separation process technologies such as: moisture removal, Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) removal, Carbon Dioxide (CO2) removal, Nitrogen and Oxygen rejection, power generation, heat recovery and solid-liquid separation processes.

• Experience in PFD and P&ID development, specification preparation and equipment selection for major unit processes.

• Experience with proposal development, design, construction, and commissioning of Biogas/RNG systems.

• Experience with automated control systems, PLC's and instrumentation.

• Experience involving the modeling and design of biogas from Landfills and Anaerobic digestion processes to pipeline injection.

• Expertise in process simulation models; Aspen HYSYS, or similar Chemical Mass Balance modeling.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Desire and ability to mentor younger professional staff.
