Buyer - Medical Device, (Hybrid in Middleton, WI office) Join our global Supply Chain team as a Buyer - Medical Device, where you will play a critical role in securing supply, driving cross-functional alignment, and supporting operations across multiple Natus manufacturing sites. What you'll do
Manage and execute MRP and supply chain actions to ensure material availability while balancing inventory and DIOH targets.
Place accurate and timely purchase orders with global suppliers, managing delivery schedules, resolving constraints, and driving supplier accountability.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date data within Oracle EBS, ensuring high integrity across all purchasing parameters.
Coordinate and manage materials across global Natus sites.
Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR/ECO/MCO), minimizing obsolescence and ensuring smooth transitions during design or supplier changes.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) builds with proactive material readiness and cross-functional alignment.
Work collaboratively with Planning, Warehouse, Quality, Trade Compliance, and Operations to resolve part discrepancies, inspection delays, documentation gaps, or receiving issues.
Support Strategic Sourcing with cost improvements, supplier consolidation efforts, contract updates, and price negotiations.
Identify and escalate supply risks early, propose mitigation actions, and clearly communicate impacts to stakeholders.
Represent the purchasing function on cross-functional teams, engaging confidently with individuals at various organizational levels.
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing or supply chain within Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Manufacturing industries.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Quality, Sourcing, and other key departments.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive accountability and build productive relationships at all organizational levels.
Experience working in a global, multi-site supply chain environment.
Advanced working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Oracle EBS highly advantageous).
Experience with PLM systems-preferably Agile-and managing ECR/ECO/MCO processes.
High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, analytics).
Ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to changing business needs in a structured, fast-paced environment.

Develop and execute Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols for manufacturing processes both internally and at suppliers.
Guide suppliers through validation protocol creation, execution, and documentation.
Ensure processes comply with FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and internal quality system requirements.
5. Supplier Technical Management
Work directly with contract manufacturers, PCB assemblers, mechanical fabricators, and component vendors.
Conduct on-site process audits, capability assessments, and readiness reviews.

Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.
