Note: This is not a forklift operator position. It's a hands-on mechanic/technician role focused on repair and preventive maintenance. What You'll Do Service, maintain, and repair a variety of forklifts and material handling equipment across gas, diesel, and electric platforms. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; perform tests and inspections to prevent downtime and ensure safety. Document all work performed, parts used, and maintenance activities with precision and timeliness. Handle both in-shop tasks and field service calls as needed. Partner with the team to boost equipment reliability and minimize repeat failures. Stay current on emerging technology, OEM updates, and best practices in material handling. Follow OSHA standards and company procedures while keeping your workspace clean and organized. What You Bring High school diploma/GED required; technical or vocational training in mechanics preferred. 8+ years of experience as a forklift mechanic or heavy equipment technician. Deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, plus the ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Strong diagnostic mindset, attention to detail, and solid organizational habits. Comfort working independently or collaborating within a team.
