Prior to that, he had a successful career with GTE Corporation in a variety of roles, including Vice President and General Manager, Information Systems Division. Among his accomplishments, Irv was instrumental in successfully fielding several large, software-intensive systems that are in use by military forces throughout the world today. Under his management, several communications systems were developed to control the status of our missile fleet and communicate via commercial satellites with soldiers and sailors in the battlefield and afloat.
