Overview
The Pharmacist, Clinical Retrospective Case Management will be divided into two areas: external clinical outreach activities related to high-cost case management and prior authorization of specialty medications, across pharmacy and medical benefits and specialty and traditional drugs. In addition, this role will have the opportunity to evaluate the data to identify actionable opportunities for specialty management and create clinical policies.
The Pharmacist, Clinical Retrospective Case Management is responsible for being the clinical expert for all specialty medications across both the pharmacy and the medical benefit. This role will be able to successfully communicate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and members related to high-cost case concerns, dose management, genetic testing, therapeutic substitutions and cost management related to specialty drugs. Clinical subject matter expert is required to conduct peer to peer consultations with physicians.
Responsibilities

* Review and interpret client data to identify, develop, and manage high-cost clinical interventions and casework.
* Evaluate clinical research and financial data to develop strategic medication management options and coverage recommendations.
* Manage retrospective case requests in compliance with established clinical criteria.
* Assist in the development of clinical policies and pharmacy benefit management programs.
* Contribute to clinical program development for both medical and pharmacy benefits.
* Complete claims editing and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Develop and deliver clear, data-driven clinical messages to physicians, members and other clinicians.
* Serve as a peer-to-peer consultant, effectively presenting complex clinical and cost-effectiveness information to various stakeholders.
* Define, document, and present results of clinical interventions and programs to plan sponsors.
* Participate in, adhere to and support compliance and diversity, equity, and inclusion program objectives.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What our team expects from you?
* Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
* Certification/Licenses: Current pharmacist license (RPh) in good standing with a State Board of Pharmacy required. Board of Pharmacy certification preferred for Pharmacotherapy, Ambulatory Care or Oncology Care.
* Experience:
* Pharmacy and Medical specialty benefit knowledge and experience required.
* 3 years clinical or managed care experience or Clinical/Managed Care Pharmacy Residency preferred.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.

Position Summary
Salary Range: $115,000 - $145,000
Responsible for dispensing prescriptions and coordinating clinical services for Specialty Pharmacy patients and other customers serviced at the branch location. This position is responsible for interacting with the health care professionals in the provision and coordination of customer care.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Training
Requires a degree in pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy - Pharm. D. Degree preferred.
Candidate must be licensed in the state of Illinois. Additional multi-state licensure preferred.
Ability to complete background check and drug screen.
Minimum 2 years' experience as licensed pharmacist.
Intermediate computer skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience in home infusion or Specialty pharmacy preferred.
Strong organizational skill, interpersonal skills and detail orientation important for this position.
Essential Job Duties
Providing specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes including advising and educating physicians on patient issues concerning drug therapy, the inherent toxicity of drugs, side effects, and appropriate dosing. Additionally, this role will be a key communicator to the physician regarding patient response to treatment issues.
Data Entry, verification of prescriptions and checking of orders.
Coordinating the activities of assigned pharmacy technicians engaged in the preparation, labeling and delivery of medications and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with physicians' prescriptions.
Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and controlled drugs and the maintenance of required records.

Purpose
The ClinicalPharmacist, Fulfillment manages drug distribution and related activities for a variety of patients enrolled at PANTHERx™ Rare Pharmacy. The role safely and efficiently dispenses and ships medications, packages cold chain shipments, and follows all fulfillment processes in the pharmacy setting. The Fulfillment Pharmacist assists with mentoring newly hired staff, trains existing staff, and addresses escalated patient, prescriber, or PANTHERx leadership concerns. In addition, this role oversees pharmacy technicians, supports other roles daily and reports to the Pharmacy Supervisor of Fulfillment Operations.
Responsibilities
Completes verification of prescription orders during prescription fulfillment process.
Supervises pharmacy technicians and other support staff during course of daily activities.
Assists in the development and execution of quality and production standards in the fulfillment area.
Creates and conducts staff training for new processes/process changes.
Participates in regular meetings with leadership to discuss staff needs and accomplishments.
Performs fulfillment pharmacist duties during on-call hours on a rotating basis; on-call duties may involve transporting products to and from Panther facility.
Handles additional projects and activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacist degree from an ACPE accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted Pharmacist Licensure in the state of Tennessee.
Active and valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
5 years as a practicing, licensed pharmacist.
2-4 years of specialty pharmacy experience.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
