Position Summary: The Product Intelligence Specialist will be part of Northern Trust Asset Management's ("NTAM") Product Strategy team, responsible for leveraging data and technology to help drive strategic product management decisions including new product development, competitive positioning, and pricing. This individual will work with partners in Distribution, Portfolio Management, Technology, Operations, and Finance, as well as external data providers, to deliver at-scale change in our technology, reporting, and analytical capabilities. This position will report to the Head of Pricing & Product Intelligence and be part of a team that is responsible for providing data-driven insights to the organization, with a focus on how NTAM's products compare to its competitors through various KPIs including pricing, performance, and flows. A successful Product Intelligence Specialist will be adept at translating complex data into actionable insights. Responsibilities: Develop architecture and vision for the Product Strategy data ecosystem that delivers scalable data product/solutions. Deliver timely analysis to support executive decision making and track progress towards strategic goals for the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to identify optimization and automation opportunities that allow NTAM Product Managers and Leadership to stay on top of trends and opportunities in the marketplace. Work with business partners across the organization to continuously enhance and evolve NTAM product analytics used by various stakeholders. Evaluate and recommend new and emerging technologies and data sources that support the NTAM Product Strategy roadmap. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years' experience in business intelligence, data architecture, or similar roles. Work experience should include investment management industry and expertise in understanding of business processes and data requirements for Product Management teams. Proficiency with business analytics tools like Power BI or Tableau is required. Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and/or asset management industry data sources such as Morningstar, eVestment Analytics is strongly preferred. Expertise with SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and database management is a plus. Working experience in Cloud technology - Azure, AWS, Snowflake and\or prior experience in moving On-Prem applications to Cloud model is a plus. Bachelor's degree is required. MBA or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or related field is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Demonstrated creative problem solving skills to define actionable and structured approaches to unstructured problems. Demonstrated proficiency in running multiple projects with efficiency and speed. Team player who works well with people from diverse backgrounds and can engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
