POSITION SUMMARY

What you'll do:

POSITION SUMMARY
Sony Corporation of America (SCA) has an excellent opportunity for a Business Affairs Attorney. The SCA Legal Department provides comprehensive, proactive legal services to internal clients and coordinates closely with the legal teams of our affiliates. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide legal support on all aspects of mergers, acquisitions, venture capital and fund investments, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions
Review and advise on documents relating to corporate venture capital and fund investments
Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts
Provide legal services to assigned internal client groups, as well as supporting SCA attorneys on other assignments
Support the corporate secretary function for various Sony entities

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
Requires a J.D. with strong academic performance, with membership in good standing in at least one state (preferably New York)
Requires a minimum of four (4) years of transactional experience working in a well-respected law firm or large corporation. A mix of law firm and in-house experience is preferred
A proven ability to master complex legal requirements, learn quickly, and interact easily with all levels of employees
Experience meeting tight deadlines while simultaneously prioritizing multiple projects is essential
Excellent written and oral communications skills, comprehensive interpersonal skills
