Technical Recruiter
Titan 4.6
New York, NY jobs
Titan is an award-winning wealth manager with a mission to increase our generation's compound growth rate. We plan to do this by putting a human wealth advisor in every pocket. Historically, wealth managers have been accessible to only the ultra-wealthy. With Titan, they're available to everyone. We harness frontier technologies like artificial intelligence to build a platform that gives advisors superpowers, enabling them to serve clients they historically never could. Backed by a16z, General Catalyst, Sam Altman, and many others, we manage over $1 billion in assets for clients across the country.
Why Join Titan
For the right person, we believe Titan will be one of the most rewarding jobs they ever have.
* Ambitious Vision: When we put private wealth management in every pocket, we'll make a legacy-defining impact in growing our generation's wealth to new heights.
* Critical Why Now: The advent of LLMs unlocks our vision to democratize personalized wealth management for everyone. This drives our urgency every day.
* Disproportionate Impact: We're still at the beginning of our journey with a small team, which means your impact at Titan will disproportionately matter.
* Vibrant In-Person Culture: We thrive on being a high-touch team, working together in the trenches in person (you'll see our founders in office every day).
* Compensation: Titan offers competitive cash compensation and well-above-market equity packages because we want every team member to be an owner.
* World-Class Investors: We're backed by top investors who share our bold vision, including a16z, General Catalyst, Y Combinator, and Sam Altman.
Role Overview
The Technical Recruiter role is foundational to Titan's talent strategy. Your mission is to build and fuel the talent engine that powers Titan's growth, identifying, engaging, and inspiring the kind of technical talent that raises the bar for our entire company. This isn't about pulling profiles from LinkedIn, it's about deeply understanding the engineering landscape, mapping markets, and finding exceptional builders before anyone else does.
You'll operate at the intersection of research, strategy, and execution: analytical enough to decode complex technical domains, yet creative and relentless enough to discover talent in places others overlook. You'll push Titan to think bigger about talent while grounding your work in data, market intelligence, and world-class candidate engagement. You'll be both the architect and the hunter, designing sourcing strategy while personally driving high-quality pipelines.
As the Technical Recruiter, you will:
* Champion Titan's top-of-funnel engine, ensuring our talent pipelines are deep, diverse, and consistently high-caliber.
* Partner closely with Engineering, Talent, and Leadership to define what "great" looks like, and then go find it.
* Establish a culture of rigor, creativity, and high-touch candidate experience.
* Be both a strategic advisor and a scrappy operator, balancing long-term talent mapping with hands-on sourcing execution.
What You'll Do
This is not a "pipeline maintenance" role, it's a high-impact, high-ownership seat. You'll be expected to:
* Build and execute sourcing strategies for our most critical technical roles across Software Engineering, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and Data.
* Identify and engage elite passive talent through creative, multi-channel tactics beyond traditional tools (GitHub, meetups, open-source communities, technical forums, talent intelligence platforms, etc.).
* Map talent markets, uncover competitor org structures, and deliver insights that shape hiring strategy.
* Develop long-term, diverse pipelines that enable Titan to hire with speed and conviction.
* Deliver a world-class, personalized first-touch experience that reflects Titan's high bar and brand.
* Create systematic approaches to tracking funnel quality, sourcing impact, and candidate engagement effectiveness.
* Partner deeply with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to refine role requirements, calibrate on talent quality, and adjust search strategy in real time.
* Drive a culture of velocity, creativity, and data-backed decision making across top-of-funnel hiring.
Qualifications
Technical Sourcing Expertise → Demonstrated ability to identify, engage, and convert top-tier technical talent in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
2+ years of experience in a sourcing or full-cycle recruiting role with heavy sourcing focus, ideally within high-growth tech or agency environments.
High-Velocity Execution → Proven track record of running multiple complex searches at once while maintaining quality and precision.
Creative Talent Hunter → Deep familiarity with advanced sourcing techniques, Boolean logic, GitHub/GitLab analysis, technical communities, and nontraditional talent channels.
Insights-Driven & Data-Fluent → Skilled at interpreting funnel metrics, talent maps, and market signals to shape sourcing strategy.
Relationship Builder → Strong partner to Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and technical leaders; able to build trust quickly and influence decisions.
Technical Curiosity → Comfort discussing programming languages, engineering domains, frameworks, and modern tech stacks.
Scrappy Builder Mentality → Resourceful, self-directed, energized by tough searches, and motivated by the pursuit of world-class talent.
