We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Engineering Technology Partnerships to join our Engineering team. This role location is New York City. Builds and maintains strong, strategic partnerships with key engineering technology providers and provides strategic support to technology deployment and adoption within Engineering. Acts as the main liaison between engineering teams, Enterprise Sourcing Office (ESO), Strategic Partnerships and Innovation (SPIN) and BNY Client teams to drive commercial value, enhance partner delivery, foster innovation and ensure client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Understand BNY spend, client opportunity, innovation potential and business criticality to prioritize engineering partners and allocate executive relationship-management capacity accordingly.
Develop and sustain deep, strategic relationships with third-party engineering partners (infrastructure, software, AI) and align them to BNY's goals and priorities.
Develop and manage relationship management framework for key partners including operational, strategic and executive levels to reinforce service delivery, maximize commercial value and enable innovation.
Act as executive escalation point for sustained operational or commercial challenges. Collaborate with the Enterprise Sourcing Office and engineering stakeholders to drive performance framework, partner improvements and cost-effective sourcing decisions.
Identify, evaluate and pursue co-innovation and co-development opportunities that enhance engineering capabilities and competitive advantage. Present quantitative and qualitative business cases for each project, ensuring they are used to scope project efforts.
Stay informed on market trends, partner capabilities and emerging technologies-partnering with SPIN where appropriate to monitor startups and innovations.
Facilitate forums and communication between partners and engineering teams to build understanding on available technology and support innovation.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (or equivalent work experience); advanced degree preferred.
12+ years of related experience, including partner relationship management within engineering or technology sectors.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive value through technology partnerships.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to analyze market data, internal performance and competitor intelligence to inform strategic decisions.
Experience fostering innovation, co-development initiatives and executive-level engagement.
Collaborative mindset, comfortable working across diverse teams and functions.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $127,000 and $230,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

Responsible for an assigned portfolio of loan and deposit relationships with small business clients. Solicit new business, manage risk and credit decisions, and service existing clients through the bank's relationship management program. Work with branch partners to effectively sell to the business customer and cross sell other bank products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop new banking relationships with business prospects.
Service existing business banking client base.
Achieve established goals as outlined by manager.
Work with branch partners to maximize sales efforts to business customers and cross sell other products and services that the bank offers.
Network with centers of influence to develop business including accountants, attorneys and other referral sources.
Manage the segment's more complicated and important loan relationships.
Evaluate credit information and requests and recommend appropriate loan structure to manage risk.
Effectively negotiate with underwriters and clients to maximize revenue and minimize risk.
Achieve sales goals with minimum expectations as follows:
Revenue of $300M to $500M.
Loan production of $7.5MM to $12MM.
Deposit balance production of $750M to $2.5MM.
Manage loan portfolio of $15MM to $40MM.
Oversee approximately 30 to 65 relationship managed clients.
Actively participate in all business banking and retail sales sprints.
Achieve call targets and other product sales goals such cash management, visa merchant, and others as assigned.
Participate in civic and cultural organizations and programs.
Utilize prescribed selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Ability to sell effectively to prospects and clients. Manage and retain existing clients.
Work closely with internal contacts to service clients. Works under moderate supervision.
Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:
May or may not have supervisory or mentoring responsibilities.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience
5 plus years experience.
Knowledge of personal computers and the software utilized by the department
Ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns.
Strong
credit skills necessary to evaluate loan requests.
Good understanding of Cash Management, Merchant Service, Trade Services products offered to Business Banking customers and ability to identify sales opportunities for those product sets.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills required.

The training is targeted to ensure that participants will learn commercial-specific job knowledge thoroughly and efficiently, so that trainees are well prepared to reach their goals quickly; Classroom collaboration is a key aspect of the program
Primary Responsibilities:
Participate in a combination of structured classroom sessions, web-based, and on-the-job practical training.
Will learn about the credit culture and commercial underwriting process while developing and refining relationship management skills.
Exposure to the banks sales culture when supporting commercial customer meetings.
Will develop call planning and execution skills.
Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.

Scope of Responsibilities:
Centralized training and program oversight will be done in Baltimore, MD or another designated location and will include periodic travel to other locations.
During the program, all trainees will learn about the credit culture and commercial underwriting process while developing and refining relationship management skills.
Trainees will be exposed to the banks sales culture when supporting commercial customer meetings. Additionally, participants will develop call planning and execution skills.
Heavy focus on project work, team collaboration, study groups, book clubs, etc.
RMSP trainees will also receive a significant amount of exposure to senior management throughout the program. (Need to be able to communicate horizontally and vertically)
The candidate will begin in a support role assisting more senior Relationship Managers in their credit and underwriting process and managing customer relationships within the bank. Eventually, successful trainees will be assigned a portfolio as well as sales goals and expectations.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, economics or related business field and one year of sales-related experience with a demonstrated sales aptitude or in lieu of degree, a combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/or work experience.
Previous banking and sales experience highly recommended.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, with prior knowledge of accounting principles
Ability and willingness to travel (25%) overnight extensively during program.
Proficient with MS Office software.
Education and Experience Preferred
Masters of Business Administration.
Previous experience in banking or financial services.
Experience in credit and/or underwriting
Demonstrated history of volunteerism including contribution to community/civic organizations and causes.
An ability to balance priorities and exhibit organizational skills to manage both individual and multiple team priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel using tact and diplomacy.
Ability to quickly master the bank's technology and systems.
