Description of Work
Broughton Hospital, a state psychiatric hospital serving the Western Region of North Carolina, is recruiting for full-time Adolescent Psychiatrist. Our 24-hour in-patient facility serves adolescent, adult, deaf, and geriatric patients; however, this position focuses on our Adolescent population.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Initial psychiatric assessments
* Establishing diagnoses and formulating treatment plans and recommendations
* Medication Management including psychotropic drug reviews for the SPMI population
* Participating on or leading a multidisciplinary team that includes psychology, social work, pharmacy, nursing and other therapeutic disciplines
* Managing the day-to-day responsibilities of an inpatient unit to include documentation of progress, court papers and education of patients and families

Broughton Hospital is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals with statutory responsibility for operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). The Survey Crew Technician will perform all aspects of geodetic surveying including public trust lands research, county and state boundary surveys, research, and analysis and processing of survey data. The selected candidate may be expected to install antenna mounts on designated structures along with GPS receivers and accompanying hardware, perform maintenance of the Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS), visiting the CORS sites to assist in troubleshooting when problems arise. Wright School delivers treatment services using the Re-Education philosophy, model and related staffing pattern. The Medical Review Unit is the arm of Customer Compliance Services that is responsible for gathering and evaluating medical data of licensed drivers or applicants for driver licenses in the State of North Carolina, who are currently suffering from a medical condition that could negatively impact their ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. There are currently over 170,000 citizens in the Medical Review Program that require follow-up at varying intervals. Over 21,000 reviews are conducted each year, and the Medical Review Board conducts approximately 600 in-person hearings each year. The employees in the Medical Review Unit perform a variety of duties. Those citizens whose driving privilege is restricted or cancelled have a legal right per NCGS 20-9 to appeal the Unit's decision by requesting a hearing before a board comprising of licensed medical professionals.

The North Carolina State Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board (NC HaLB) is seeking a part-time (sporadic) Board Investigator to conduct independent consultation, and program/project administration of considerable complexity. Work involves consulting with the Board Members, the Board Administrator, and external clients to the agency. The position has a considerable amount of analysis and interpretation of data in the program area of assignment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
* Board Investigator will be conducting field investigations by reviewing and responding to complaints and compliancy issues, interviewing witnesses, gathering factual data and summarizing the findings.
* Responding to written, email and telephone communications within a timely manner.
* The person in this role will also consult with Board staff and counsel.
* Handling any follow-up assignments from the COI committee, Board staff, and or Board counsel in a timely manner.
* Monitoring pending investigations and/or settlement agreements to ensure completeness, compliance, and/or timely performance.
* Overseeing licensees' corrective actions in regard to violations.
* Maintaining investigative files, keeping them current with information as it is received.
* Protecting the Board's electronic and paper records from unauthorized access and disclosure.
* Complying with the requirements of the NC Identify Theft Protection Act, as found in G.S. ยง 75-60 et. seq.
* Providing any other similar services reasonably necessary to assist the Board perform its statutory duties with respect to investigations of complaints. Evaluating compliance with Board's governing statute and administrative rules.
* Reporting findings summarizing the findings of the investigation and submitting the report in pdf to the Board's COI committee.
