Description of Work
The PhysicalTherapist will provide assessments and treatments per departmental and center policies/procedures for assigned caseload to include screenings, evaluations, consultations, planning and implementing Physical Therapy treatments and programs utilizing an interdisciplinary team process, or when a medical event has occurred requiring acute skills Physical Therapy services. Position will supervise Physical Therapy Assistants/Technicians to assist with service delivery to include delegating and teaching therapeutic techniques, monitoring treatment plans per licensure guidelines, provision of co-treatments with other disciplines, and changing goals/plans as evaluation indicates. The PhysicalTherapist will also assess in conjunction with Occupational Therapists seating systems, therapeutic equipment and supports to promote mobility, optimal functioning, and safety and falls prevention, and complete comprehensive evaluations/assessments based on person center planning, initial Physical Therapy plans (Objective Plans, Baselines, and Data Sheets), progress notes and discharge notes as specified by departmental/center policies and procedures and current licensure requirements. The PhysicalTherapist will also attend Orthopedic/Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) appointments, orthotic and prosthetic clinic to present orthopedic/PMR problems of assigned residents to consultant as needed and follow-up on recommendations as specified by department/center policies/procedures.

Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus

An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:

Description of Work
Broughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for Recreational Therapist's (RT) for our Recreational Therapy team. The RT will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational therapy services under the clinical supervision of our Recreational Therapist Supervisors.
The RT assists individuals in identifying barriers, interests, and the methods to overcome or utilize these in the community upon discharge. The employee completes a recreation therapy assessment utilizing a variety of assessment tools. The employee contributes to the individual treatment plans by addressing individualized problems/goals and identifying specific recreational therapy interventions to be utilized in group or one-to-one settings.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Documenting patient responses to programs;
Documenting patient progress related to goal achievement; and
Making behavioral observations as related to the patient's problem list and treatment plan
The RT functions as a member of assigned treatment teams and gives input related to Recreational Therapy programming and overall treatment issues. This individual must be able to effectively communicate in oral and written fashion and must be able to maintain positive working relationships with patients, a variety of professionals, and the community.
