Youth activities include afterschool and summer programming at PS 96, PS 357, PS 77 and PS 483 & MS 89. Programming includes, homework assistance, academic enrichment, social/emotional development, leadership development, health and well being, Total afterschool students 700. We also operate the Community Center AT Eastchester Gardens (NYCHA) providing after school, evening and weekend services to youth, adults and seniors. Total number of participants is 2,000. We also work with at risk youth in middle schools, high schools and out of school youth. NIDC also hosts community events including a Holiday Toy Giveaway, Movies Under the Stars and a Spring street fair.
