It's a starter lab. Baby's first job sort of deal. Got to regularly interact with VPs and the president though, that was a good learning experience.
The bar is set pretty low. Team lead 1 was neurodivergent. Team lead 2 would throw ice in the lab and contaminate studies. Loud music would be playing pretty much every day. Manager selectively enforced rules and played favorites, and was otherwise generally clueless in the day-to-day.
Being able to put BSL-2 on my resume and job hop for a 20%+ raise after one year. Benefits are bad.
Being able to speak with them regularly.
Investing more into training for mid-level management as well as a higher bar for selecting mid-level managers.
I didn't.
Very low end of the scale.
