Pros of working at Nelson Labs

It's a starter lab. Baby's first job sort of deal. Got to regularly interact with VPs and the president though, that was a good learning experience.

Cons of working at Nelson Labs

The bar is set pretty low. Team lead 1 was neurodivergent. Team lead 2 would throw ice in the lab and contaminate studies. Loud music would be playing pretty much every day. Manager selectively enforced rules and played favorites, and was otherwise generally clueless in the day-to-day.

Nelson Labs benefits

Being able to put BSL-2 on my resume and job hop for a 20%+ raise after one year. Benefits are bad.

What do you like best about Nelson Labs's CEO and the leadership team?

Being able to speak with them regularly.
